Are some jobs 'too feminine' in aesthetics?

Hi again - just to clarify, I'm female and like how the WHM AF looks, and yes - my friend is male and was commenting how of course I'd like it because it is so 'girly', which I don't take offense at because I am, admittedly, pretty 'girly' natured (also, for we Japanese this isn't that bad of a thing, actually). I also need to be clear that I didn't mean the actual character animations (sorry^^), I meant the spell animations like the lily for Holy 3 and heart Lilybell. So it is really more like FrogDog said above, my guy friend just thought that WHM spell animations and AF we too feminine leaning, and he wasn't saying that because he hates the feminine, but rather because he wanted the gear and such to be a little more 'neutral', I guess.

I desperately wish I could alter the character animation for Assize to Tetragrammaton's arms raised, or Prescence of Mind's cane held in both hands and raised in the air instead of Assize's arm twirl cane hyperspin dance.

Custom animations are a different debate entirely, but I like the spin for Assize.

How does making a statement how healer outfits are feminine mean someone has identity or confidence issues? Every single healer artwork has a female mascot. This expansion alone we’ve had constant feminine healer gear across the board. Also the person makes the person? What? A large draw of this game is its outfits, so much so “glamour is the true endgame” is essentially a factual statement. Outfits should be designed properly for both males and females, not skewed one way or the other. I’m sick and tired of seeing blatant favoritism when it comes to female stuff. Prime example being the 2b gear in nier. We got a 2b purely feminine coffer and no male equivalent.

The drop set is the male equivalent. ITs 9S' gear....

I'm still waiting for the female equivalent of all of the veteran rewards. Oh, and we got literally every outfit from FFXII, EXCEPT Ashe's....

Well I don't blame him. It's one reason why I will pick up another healer - particularly SGE - if I feel like healing.

I'd personally switch Benison and Assize around - Benison's animation is fast and powerful...to apply a shield, while Assize is carefree and graceful, yet it's an aoe nuke that just happens to heal. Their contrast is so ironic it seems almost intentional /think

The drop set for females is 2b as well….so they shouldn’t have gotten a coffer them either hm? Also those glams are role locked.

last I checked, 2B was pretty definitely female, so not sure why you would expect a male version of that in all honesty, and not sure if you have noticed, but quite a few males seem to certainly enjoy the boots (myself I cant stand them because of the foot ankle look which I just cannot unsee)

now, possibly in Breach might have been nice to have a 9S crate as they figured more prominently there

This was my point. We got a purely feminine coffer but no male coffer which could’ve been 9s. All we got was a female one. Some males liking the boots doesn’t change the set from being purely feminine.

And the biggest sin - despite both male and female characters being able to equip it, only female butts get enlarged, while male butts shrink...but that may not be the here and now for that lol
