It's more efficiency. Like MirielleLavandre said, you are literally doing the exact same thing whether you have 3 or 12 mobs, so why would you want to pull 3 mobs 4 times and do the same thing 4 times, when you could pull 12 and do it once. There is literally no trick to this, there is nothing extra you are doing; in fact you are doing less on large pulls as a tank or dd and usually a healer too because you have to do the same thing, just fewer times. It's not about wanting to go go go right now as much as it is just doing a basic rotation once instead of 5 times. If you are dead set on going slowly because reasons, make your own party. You are in a public space and you cannot expect everyone else to cater to you just because you feel they should.
The only good excuse I have heard for moving at a single pack pace is because the healer or tank is under geared or still learning their job. But that argument goes out the window by level 50 max. Because by then you have all the skills you need, everyone can aoe well, and you will have ran enough dungeons by then just by doing the msq to know how they work. Which is extremely basic and mostly facerolled. If you have not learned your job by 50 or if you have not bothered to gear yourself by then, the rest of the player base is not the problem.
Large pulls have mostly been the norm for decades in mmos, baring the mmos that made the trash mobs so difficult you literally couldn't pull more since 1 mob hit as hard as 12. I am tired of all these excuses and calling ppl toxic for knowing how their job works. You do you, but do it yourself. That is why we have party finder.
So many of the excuses to go slow in a pug party and they are all just tired at this point.

There are different playstyles. A lot of people find it fun to rush. It's hard to go slow once you've gone fast.

The more important question is why you feel you're entitled to slowing the whole group's progress on your own?

Whyyyy must we have a new thread about this every other day? -.- Pull at whatever pace you want, I don't care, no one cares x.x
And having this same conversation over and over again isn't going to 'solve' anything. Some people like to pull big, some people don't, end of story.
Ohhh they will pull one single enemy if capable, I know this from personal experience. Do not forget my favorite part ever! Rolling up to boss and tanking it facing the party so we all get cleaved and the healer has something to heal.
My Black Mage friends just adore single pulling tanks and I mean single pulling.. one enemy.. that dies in two seconds interrupting their casting. Freeze? Flare? Fire 2? We do not need that anymore! Off thine bars of hotness with thee! Now watch as a pull this single fire sprite and pop rampart while the white mage spams cure.
What? The other party members have better things to do then slog through forty minutes of Dismal Darkhold or Sunken Temple? Toxic speedrunners at it again!
Just save your sanity and play with friends or do not queue anymore. I have pretty much given my friends my pooter because I seldom play FF14 anymore. Am waiting until Endwalker. When I do queue it is with friends now, saves all the trouble of dealing with me giving advice then being ignored.
Because they're tired of running the same dungeons, like, a thousand times?so much people just want to speed run / rush any content and never even care to see of the rest of the party is up to it. as a tank its extremely frustrating as people liek this never want to communicate and force the way they want to play on you.
what you think of this?
Right. Ultimately it doesn't matter overall. In the case of many of the ARR duties you don't gain anything from it.Whyyyy must we have a new thread about this every other day? -.- Pull at whatever pace you want, I don't care, no one cares x.x

In general with most things in the world rushing is just a breeding ground for stupidity and mistakes. Measure twice and cut once.
Like just about all of these threads in the past it will likely get flooded with enabler statements for the people rushing things and contain little to no actual arguments for it.
I dunno, I'm a SAM, you put it in front of me and I'll cut it. If it's 2 or 12 theyre all going to end up in the same sushi restaurant.
i get that people dont want to step outside their comfort zone, they want to get better slowly.... but most people wont get better when they just stay inside their pretty zone.
if its your first time its fine. but after that... you really wanna force people to go slow just because you have to step outside your comfortzone otherwise?
