Funnily enough this is why I enjoyed healing Titan Savage. I think if we did get more healing checks then we can find their current toolkits engaging.

And I echo Sebazy's comments about old school Titan too, Titan EX was my favourite trial for a long time. It felt like a good example of mechanics making good use of the healers. Titan Savage I feel did the same. Also Memoria Misera was good for this too IMO. Though it was at this stage I was in the "freshly married" phase of maining AST, so maybe that skews it, but I hope not because if I return to that, I hope it's still fun now that I've played AST a lot more.

It plays essentially like a hybrid between a SCH and a WHM, without the clunky fairy or the clipping.
I'm still kinda still optimistic about it, cautiously so. I feel like there is some step in the right direction and some QoL improvements that could make it more interesting...it does feel like SCH but with some of the QoL SCH needed.

But yes, I agree that the way Toxicon is going to work for single target is only going to be useful when mobility is needed and that's a shame.

And it'll still be a spam but there's more to break it up. And I kinda see it as an improvement that you have 2 buttons to apply your DoT instead of one lol it's a weird thing to think of as an improvement, but in a way, that was SB SCH's main DoT (instead of Bio II -> Miasma is now Eurcrasia -> Eucrasia Dosis)

I feel like Toxicon needs a single target version that's stronger than Dosis. I think that's what's missing here.

AST on the other hand, I'm more optimistic about. And I know there's a lot of disappointment over AST losing Noct but...I'm going to wait until the media tour until I give my reasons why so I don't share anything I heard about the leaks. At least, I see i is an improvement on 5.0 AST. Whether one on 4.0 or 3.0 AST, maybe not, but I come at this from somebody who mained SCH before 5.0.

Sage at least was already out there because of the tooltips from the live letter.

Same... when I realized Toxicon will be super situationnal I was sad. I though it was cool to reward player for using ST Shield, it was close to be fun but it's not. It's Dosis III, but instant with no mp cost. Yeah mobility is nice but... you gotta need to use that ST shield first. I hope will have strong Tank buster justyfing that (hope % = 10%).

And about Eucrasia... I feel like it essentially save some space on hotbar for other spells. I'm okay with that (and that could even have pushed this idea further)

Yeah, I like that it is a reward for using a shield. The mobility use I can see being useful in more AoE intensive fights and the damage benefit only useful when you need to AoE.

As for Eucrasia, I too think they could have pushed this further as it is similar to a suggestion I made for SCH, because I want to add more depth without adding more buttons and I saw Emergency Tactics, Deployment Tactics and Selene all being ways you can do this. Where things differed were that my approach came at the intention of sacrificing healing potential (not dangerously so, like Cleric Stance) whilst improving damage potential. Whilst I separated my ideas across 3 mechanics, one button could still do all this. I spread my suggestion out on SCH to make more use of existing abilities.
