Presumably, in some weird alternate universe where Raubahn became Sultan-Consort, Pippin would have been the heir apparent.
There's no real evidence that adoption isn't taken seriously, or would be a dis-qualifier from inheritance.
If it were - we'd just be in the same situation as now, where a new dynasty would start, by whoever wound up on top. Lolorito, probably.
