PVP REWARDS SUGGESTION (FEAST)

It actually boggles my mind that people who love the Feast but always push back against releasing old Feast rewards... don't realize it is exactly the Top 100 reward structure that strangled the Feast and caused it to die.

Why would people want to participate if they knew for a fact they would never get into Top 100 for the reward? Why would people want to participate if they just joined the game and found out that the coolest mount and armour is already gone and they don't like the new reward? Why would you participate if you kept getting throwers in your matches or the people who use insta-interrupt cheats? Hell, you don't even see the rewards in game anymore. The last time I saw a Hellhound was in early Stormblood. I've never seen Hellhound armour. The older rewards effectively do not exist anymore, so why do people get so mad at the idea that something cool could be given to other players of the Feast?

It's pointless to complain now, since the Feast is dead in EW *crab rave* and hopefully it's reward system with it.

You can like some aspects of things without liking everything.
I like limited time rewards as a concept, knowing full well I've missed some myself. "You can't have everything" is a reasonable take on anything in life, this game included.

On the contrary, it sounds incredibly irrational for a game in fact.
Specially when that "can't have it" is due to variety of reasons, many not in the player hands and not related game mechanics, skill checks or player performance.

Counterpoint. I am pretty sure every Moogle tome event we have had so far, with a new one on the way, offered a limited time reward. As far as I know, you can no longer get them once the event is done. So people have to live with that fact if they miss out on it.

You don't think this comment might come back to haunt you? Lots of timed event stuff ends up on cash shop, where lots of people would like feast stuff.

Not sure how pointing out another instance of exclusivity insinuates me wanting items in the cash shop. I'm pretty sure people disliking exclusivity is one of the main reasons why we see old items go to the cash shop. Imagine if people missed out on something and accepted it, then you wouldn't have game companies thinking they can make a profit by selling previous items for money.

You could try an make an argument of "Well if nothing is exclusive, no one would miss out and there would be no threat of items being put on the shop.". That won't happen because of items like non-in-game mounts, costumes, weapons, minions, etc that already exist in the cash shop. The people that want Feast rewards in the cash shop are the same that didn't bat a eye and bought the Cruise Chaser mount that for all intended purposes, should have been something achievable in-game due to how iconic Cruise Chaser has been in the FFXIV community. Those people do not have the community's, or games, best interest in mind.

I agree, I'd like to see some of the old armor come back and increase Wolf Marks from 20k > 80K and just make the old armor cost a lot like 60k for a chest, 60k for legs etc, that way PvP is more lively, hell they could even make the mounts like 100k or something and people would still do it.

The issue I have with the Feast is that it's been exploited since Season 1 and we're now at Season 18 and all you have to do is look at the leaderboard and see that Primal is just a win trading data center with the same people who've been controlling it for years are still controlling it so even if you want to try and PvP as a newcomer you're already ousted.
