This argument has been brought up time and time again and I'm pretty sure those in charge would never change the current stance (which I'm thankful for) due to the fact there is a decent chance it would hurt their bottom line.
So let's just say you have an ability to change the way people look at the "local" level, so folks only look the way they are not glamoured. You so much take a picture/screenshot of your character with an unglamoured character in the background (who didn't choose to be unglamoured for the purpose of this example) and than you're forcing your decisions on people... people ever see such pictures (or videos if it goes there) and people very well might buy less things for glamours (I mean assuming the announcement didn't already start that in the first place).
I mean even if you point all the ways the above scenario could be avoided, why on earth would anyone dictate how someone else dresses in a game, or for that matter in an MMO to begin with.... I get what the one side wants, but it doesn't just effect you, and therefore is a complicated situation, that doesn't make sense to mess with to begin with.
Before glamouring, things looked rough in this game, let's not go back to that time period.
