Hidde Glamours Locally (& other graphically immersive options)

They wouldn't be able to circumvent a client-side toggle anyway. There would be a default set of gear data that the game would load and not load any other models until it was turned off, the same way it works in FFXI.

Basically everyone looks the same except for the person with the Glams off who likes a out of place circus freak. lol

Only if they decided to wear mismatched clothing. The glamour toggle (at least the way I'd see it implemented) would make the game load only a predetermined outfit based on class for everyone around you, while you're free to wear what you want. Which is again how it works in FFXI and I imagine would be the easiest way to put in such a system if they ever decided to.

Mismatched or not they will still be a stand out from everyone else. But hey if somebodies idea of immersion is everyone looking boring and uninteresting except themselves I am not going to stop them.

I'm sure for some folks they wouldn't mind being the only one in their perception of the game world wearing a cool outfit while everyone is wearing bog standard adventuring outfits. I'm not sure how it's insulting that they get what they want. But yeah you shouldn't care what other people want to do with their perception of a video game environment especially when it doesn't affect you, that's a good stance to have.

Nope I know what I said. I wear several of my actual glam's pieces such as the Thav set. So no trying needed and only a fool would admit to breaking the games rules on the forum. Since the Glam off option does not exist I have broken no rules :P
