Yeah, but the question is when? I mean, I always wondered on the fact that why doesn't square expand their staff working on FFXIV? Like, the fact that we're only getting the male viera after two years is a bit..weird. I understand that the work load is perhaps much bigger than people can anticipate, but if that's the case then why don't they hire more people then?

We know they aren't coming in EW and races are big selling points for expansions so all signs point to 7.0 release for fem hrothgar. That means we'll see a reveal and concept art around the time of the first fanfest for 7.0. If you're expecting any concept art before their big reveal, you're going to be disappointed.

Actually, its not weird. I can promise you the work load is more than you think it is and staffing is a lot more complicated than you think too. Throwing people at an issue is a good way to make something take longer than you want it to; hiring a lot of people is never a good solution to a problem. Human resources and software development are both complicated problems, especially for a team as large as the one working on FF14. They hire when they need to but its much better for them to move around task schedules; its usually cheaper, faster, and more productive than hiring new people.

But, I dont look at Female Hrothgar or a Race in General as an Expansion seller. Its a benefit, but Stormblood is proof that a new race isn't needed to sell.

Indeed, but who knows. Maybe that after the release of Endwalker, they'll take a small break from releasing another big expansion and focusing on fixing some of the issues for the two races like adding hairstyles, helmets and etc. I mean, Bungie did that, so maybe Square can do similar things as well. Also, I don't really wish them to add more races(at least, not anytime soon), and just fleshing out their lores similar to franchises like say The Elder Scrolls, you know?
