    Understood.

    1. Restart
    2. Continue to press DEL key until the Bios comes up.
    3. If it's the BIOS I'm thinking of... On the left-hand side, look for a section called Video / Graphics
    4. There should be a setting somewhere for Optimus.

    5. Uncheck it.
    6. Save BIOS settings (varies per computer, on mine it is F10, on yours, you may have to scroll to the bottom and choose Save Changes and Exit.

Oooh! Neat! I think the last Dell I touched was an E6410. But I couldn't remember if it was mouse friendly.

It also may say Save Exit Apply. If it says that do as you usually would Apply>save>exit But Fiosha has what I believe are the correct steps that should help you get playing.

You're doing the right thing! But it's ffxivgame.exe! ffxivboot.exe is the updater that pops up when you first run it. ffxivgame.exe is the actual client. You want to adjust the nVidia settings for that.

my friend fixed it for me and now it works. He made me install the update to my graphics card. It plays now but now SWTOR and Aion graphics seem to run slower. T.T I rather just wait then for the ps3 version if it will be this much of a hassle!

That make no sense that ffxiv work but Aion and SWTOR run slower lol anyways if you like ffxiv more you should play that aion is pretty old game and SWTOR i guess a lot like it but i see it as a wow clone so i did not even care about it.

Everything you do would be a hassle sadly that how computer is if you want to play at best setting you have to do a few things but if you end up picking the ps3 see you too then

You should try a different graphic driver or a beta driver.

Popped in stronger graphic card on two computers, same Nvidia drivers. One behaved. The other had significant troubles with the driver. Grabbed a beta driver for the card and now it plays games much better.

    Computers are mysterious creatures sometimes.

Btw, now that I'm at work ... during your POST Screen Yomu you will see something that says, "Press F12 for boot options". When you hit it, your prompted for a few options, choose the system setup and that will take you to the BIOS screen where you will choose video or SHOULD choose video and turn off your Optimus feature.

Sorry took so long but not having a POS Dell at home, I hand build my stuff, I couldn't remember the sequence >.<

From personal experience i had the exact same issue. The solution for me was to overclock it using the AMD overclock tool. May be a little hassle but I've been playing like this for about a year on my ASUSG73. If you check my specs my system is well within high end operation range. The issue is ultimately your laptop video card driver . It will work, but you have to kinda work around it.

Don't, FFXIV in 720p looks like XI. I would know, that's almost how I play it on PC. But seriously, I tried DCUO on PS3 (sorry, it's the only example) and it didn't look promising for the future of console MMORPGs. I know SoE are far from development gods, but still, you have to look at the facts and little to no memory + an MMORPG's potentially extremely high load... Doesn't work well when you try to throw nice graphics at it.

Bottomline, work hard to get stuff working on PC. You'll have a better experience when it comes to MMORPGs.
