I’m gonna copy paste what I said in the other similar thread that’s kinda been trolled out, as it’s relevant here.
You make 20,000 in pure profits from Doman Restoration, every single week, forever. 40 Allagan coins from your retainers double in value instantly.
Or, you can get something like 3-4,000 gil in Allagan coins from each of your retainers, every single day of the week. You can fund your retainers for a week or so from 1 single unsync'd run of Gubal Library Normal mode in like 10 minutes. Maybe two runs.
If that doesn't cover your teleport costs for the week, I really don't know what to tell you.
Maybe trade in coffee biscuits for a cool million gil? Utilize return or your free/cheap teleport spots better?
Gil is a joke to make in this game.

As an additional thought – outside of certain really distant new destinations for Endwalker, the slide is demonstrating the furthest possible distance you'll be travelling in a single trip: from almost the western edge of the map to the far eastern edge, which you don't have to do very often. For comparison, right now you hit (or get close to) the 999 capped price when travelling from there to Gyr Abania, and you have all of the middle continents to cross after that. The full fee under the current distance system could well be 3000 gil before the price cap.
And these big cross-continental jumps are rare in any case. For MSQ questing you are going to be travelling locally for the most part.
For the 2056th time in this forum: They ALSO said they're reducing the effectiveness of those aetherite tickets.Or go do the daily and weekly rank B Hunts and just buy up thousands of aetheryte tokens with the Hunt currencies like Allied Notes or Centurio Seals which allow you to never have to pay for teleportation again (seriously, Hunts are so easy and the cost for the tickets in Hunt currency is very low so it surprises me just how few people do this). It's a non-issue really.
its not like this is a 1500 price across the board
so this is hardly the catastrophic and oppressive taxation that the people complaining about it like to try and ring alarm bells over.
if it cost 1500 to go from Gridania to Limsa, you might have a point. it doesnt, and you dont.
They need to improve chocobo and other taxi services. Many locations just don't link to ones they should. There should be an Airship between Eorzea and the East. Maybe a shuttle to the moon. Then slower, cheaper transport will be a more viable option.

Choose your teleports wisely!Increasing teleport fees is effectively a regressive tax: "A regressive tax is a tax applied uniformly, taking a larger percentage of income from low-income earners than from high-income earners."
I don't think this is the right solution for adding more gil sinks. It's not going to have a tangible effect on the gil-billionaires, but it will affect new players and those without much gil generally.
The story explains why an airship route to the Far East isn't logically possible - the extreme distance is just too great for a single point to point trip fuel wise (even the Garleans had to use staging points to fuel their airships when flying to Othard and Aldenard from Islabard, it's why they conquered Ala Mhigo first and then moved to secure Silvertear Falls, to secure cereleum to fuel their full invasion fleets), which is why we took a boat to the Far East instead (and that slower maritime route between Limsa and Kugane still remains functional after you travel to Othard the first time, which players tend to forget about).
Not to mention Seiryu's Wall is now blocking all access by land and air into Othard as part of Doma's defensive grid, although that could potentially be deactivated to allow allied vessels to fly through.

I wouldn't call it a bad idea, but I do think it is a pointless one. It's really not going to be much of a gil sink at all with how easily generated it is and how much is in circulation. It's less "this is bad" and more "but...why?".
