Bard's Group MP/TP regen songsOP's probably knew this is from awhile ago and posted it to remind people.... which is basically what he said.
Hopefully this will help people from over hyping and getting dissapointed again... I mean each class is getting 1 WS and a few abilities...
Other than the quests not much to get hyped over.
Paladin's heal AOE converter
AOE stun/wake/attack power boost
Sap
Benediction
Convert
If someone isn't hyped about getting abilities like that they must not play the game much.
i'm interested to see how they are implemented and hopeful that they will be good, but saying hyped is way overstating things since anytime there's been massive hype it fell way short of expectations. i'm curious and ready to see what is in store, but i will be preceding with caution so hyped is nowhere near the emotion.

So your strategy is extreme pessimism just to avoid being disappointed?i'm interested to see how they are implemented and hopeful that they will be good, but saying hyped is way overstating things since anytime there's been massive hype it fell way short of expectations. i'm curious and ready to see what is in store, but i will be preceding with caution so hyped is nowhere near the emotion.
These abilities are (on paper at least) better than anything we have currently or had in the past. So I think being hyped for them is appropriate. They'd have to be seriously broken to not be game changers.
no i would not say it's extreme pessimism at all. it's cautious optimism. if it was pessimism it would be me saying "i don't want to see them because they WILL suck". what i am saying is that "i want to see them and try them out before i decide whether i like them or dislike them".So your strategy is extreme pessimism just to avoid being disappointed?

what i see of them looks good, but it's like anything else that is put in game. it can be put in good or it can be a failure. i want to see them because it looks good, but i am not going to say they are going to be fantastic because i have not tried them at all.

Here's my issue:
How fundamentally different would the game be, if the developers removed Invigorate? It might slow the game down, but not if they had just increased accumulation of TP. The exact opposite is happening with the BRD TP song; they decreased the rate in which we gain TP and now they are adding an ability to increase it. I'm not saying this isn't a step in a positive direction, but I just don't see these abilities, even when taken all together, are going to fundamentally change the game.
Now, I am hyped, but I think some people are getting, as I said, over-hyped for things that are not that significant.
Well combos actually already compensate for reduced TP gain so this would be on top of that, but I guess if saw bard's TP song as the highlight of these new abilities (even just for Bard) I wouldn't see them as being significant either. Here's my issue:
