I would like to know your where you get your data to support "BIG chunk".

To the second point, that is actually just incorrect. You always go TWO ranks down from one season to the other as even stated on the official page for Feast: https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...sden/thefeast/

It's more for matchmaking purposes so a fresh player in unranked doesn't get absolutely destroyed by the vets of the previous season and actually have a chance to learn before fighting people of that skill level.

It's ugly, bulky, and almost impossible to mix and match with any other glams. Why would we wear an inferior glam?

I disagree, as someone desperately trying to cobble together a passable All Classes "adventurer" Glam those Feast sets would've been a godsend...

I mean if you can stomach pvp in this game they deserve to have their exclusive armor.

Seriously pvp in this game is the biggest joke I've ever seen in an MMO.

I remember when rival wings first started and the strategy was "healers to the center" making the game unwinnable. That turned me off of it. It was such poor design. almost as if they made it just to jump into esports like "hey look we made a MOBA" and never thought about players taking the path of least resistance to get rewards. Add to that the fact that nowhere does it really teach you what you're supposed to do (none of the PVP modes do this) and so nobody bothers. They really have to think these things through and stop jumping on every trend just to shoehorn it into FFXIV

That is a problem not exclusive to pvp, the game in general doesn't teach you how to do anything. It doesn't teach you how to craft correctly, it doesn't teach you how to play your job correctly, it doesn't teach you how to gear correctly, I don't think it even teaches you that you what to do with your Tomestones of Poetics when you get them for the first time, so why would it ever teach you how the pvp modes work?

Apart from this being an obvious troll thread, I don't think exclusives (outside of collabs that Square has no ownership over and game editions) should remain permanently exclusive.

I understand that this is a sore topic for some because of the whole:
"Well, I paid for this so everyone else should too!"
"Well, I was here during the event, sucks to suck new players!"

My idea would be to start pulling out old rewards and adding them in with new rewards, providing an option to those who participate. You can pick either one of the old sets (3-4 years after their first run) or whatever prize they're offering now and change it on a rotating basis. This wouldn't change anything for vets that already have the old sets and it would give new players a chance to earn them and maybe even bolster pvp numbers a touch.

This is both a blessing and a curse imo. It's nice that you can get together with like minded individuals and theorycraft together what is most optimal for a given fight or situation in both PVE and PVP. The issue is with stuff like the additionals in PVP. Depending on the game mode, like Feast for example, there are some absolute must takes and must avoids(looking at you Attunment healers lol)but because they are given a choice, they take whatever looks good on paper, and we as the community have to go out of our way to reach out to them, or the player has to go out of their way to find the correct information.

It's too late to change things now, but I think the rewards for Feast should have been percentage based rather than a fixed amount. Instead of top 100 only getting the rewards, it should've been top 20% of all players. More people playing, more people having a better shot at getting the reward. 100 players would have been the minimum but if the percentage exceeded 100, more people would get it. Unranked players would be ignored for determining the top percentage of players.

Nevertheless, they will stop doing ranked seasons for The Feast with Endwalker and focus more on the new small-scale PvP mode. Depending on the reception of the new mode they might remove Feast altogether or at least stop doing new seasons for it. They will also change the reward structure. How, we don't know yet. Maybe they will reveal more during the upcoming Live Letter.

They nerfed the generator at the center of the map. If you wanted CE (mech fuel), it was faster just being on the lanes and kill the mammets. But you can no longer play that map anyway. You should try the current map, Hidden Gorge. Really well balanced and fun to play. Now if only Rival Wings was more active outside of discord evenings.

The Revival discord does play during Friday and Saturday evenings if you want to give it a fair shot.
