I think no one disagrees pedophilia is disgusting and its really bad to see kids become victims. The disagreement is at the part where people say blanket banning mods/gposes because such issues exist should happen.

This is basically the Jack Thompson logic train from the late 90s-2000s where video games should be banned because they are "murder simulators" because GTA and Manhunt exist. The problem arises that SE cannot pick and choose because under their own ToS -- such modding is a questionable area, and if SE does act - it could potentially ruin a good amount of player experience.

Seeing such lackadaisical enforcement of policies before to not fight against a player margin (*cough* Gil buyers *cough* ACT users *cough* Quicklauncher users *cough*) shows that SE would rather allow such things unless something absolutely dire needs to be solved. Could this be the case? Maybe, but it would call into question on how Square dictates player-side texture mods.

Side note: RPers (specifically that section of RPers) needs to be better aware of who is partaking in their services and RP.

I will say GTA did teach me how to never pay for a prostitute. Life lessons only found in a video game.

However it's inconsistent based on media or possibly just where the media has come from. Awhile back they were attacking a manga/anime character named Uzaki claiming her depiction was encouraging pedophilia when it was openly stated she was a 19yr old college student who just happened to be really short. At the same time they said nothing about a US show on I think Netflix that literally had actual 12-14yr old girls in provocative costumes doing provocative dances on stage.

Yeah I do agree. To be fair this aspect of selective outrage against certain forms of child exploitation is kinda funny to me but I also have a sick sense od humor.
