I also think they look quite handsome for being the "monster" race. They're obviously not your typical "prettyboys", but then we already have Midlanders and Elezens for that.

I personally thought they were supposed to be the "ugly race".

This is my interpretation of the races.

Hyur = Humanoid
Elezen = Elven
Lalafell = Short Mystics
Roegadyn = Brute Beasts
Miqo'te = Cat Tribe

At the end of the day, its all subjective to personal taste.

Incorrect Statement 1: I want Roegadyn to be "prettier" or "cuter" or more similar to the Midlanders and Lalafell.

This one's the worst. Lemme explain why that's wrong: I compared the Roegadyn's many scowling, eyebrowless, wrinkled faces to the noble and hardworking look of the Galka. I'm saying that we need more options for the Roegadyn where the faces aren't frowny and contorted, and instead have an honorable quality to them. That doesn't mean cute or pretty

Incorrect Statement 2: I said that all current Roegadyn are ugly.

This isn't true at all, and it isn't what I was trying to say. A FEW of the Roegadyn faces out there right now that aren't scowly, wrinkly, and creepy. I'm sure most of the Roegadyn players chose those faces, and if they chose a messed up face because that's what they want, then more power to those people too. I'm just saying that we need more options that aren't scowly and wrinkly and odd, so people will be able to make the character that best fits them. To do this, they need to add more noble-looking Roegadyn faces IN ADDITION to all the crazy ones they have right now.

Yes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and many people may like the current Roegadyn faces, and that's all good and fine. But it's not a subjective statement to say that the current Roegadyn faces have features such as lack of eyebrows, scowling expressions, and wrinkles -- these are all quantifiable features. It's also not a subjective statement to say that Roegadyn are the least played race; I'm pretty sure the numbers would back me up. This is because it's fact that the Roegadyn faces are currently very limiting and only allow a few people to create the Roegadyn that they want. The rest of the people who would have made a Roegadyn, but aren't satisfied with the customization options, either don't play FFXIV or went ahead and chose a different race, like me.

As someone else in this thread said, the real issue is the lack of customization options in general, which we all know is already promised to be improved in 2.0.

I just want to make sure that they're going to head in the right direction with the Roegadyn customization options and add more faces without those off-putting features, so I can create a Roegadyn that would make my FFXI Galka proud!

Roegadyn are ugly since first day. Why they cant be ugly? coz you dont like ugly giant races they are not going to change it. Is like asking for Orcs to have more peacefull faces or more smiles... wtf, they are ORCS.
