'Puritan' seems to rapidly be becoming one of those buzzwords thrown around on a whim to describe anybody who dares to point out that maybe, just maybe, not everywhere is an appropriate platform for NSFW content.

If people choose to breach the terms of service that they agreed to abide by when first they created their account then that is their burden to bear - not anybody else's.

Most people are willing to turn a blind eye to NSFW content so long as it isn't paraded around like a badge of honour. It has become very brazen in recent years, with very little subtlety - and there are some very real risks that come with that.

It's all well and good saying that people should be free to do whatever they want in private as long as they are consenting adults. I'd be inclined to agree, though it isn't being done in private in many cases. It's being advertised openly in party finders, bragged about on social media and pushed into the public sphere.

That isn't 'private'. That isn't 'behind closed doors'.
