The idea that childreen needs to be pampered is false. Here is why:

1) 200 years ago we married at 14, have kids by 16 and be dead by 45. We have not evolved since that point
2) at 14 you can take a 300K loan in the USA, you can begin to work at 14
3) we send kids to prison starting at 12
4) kids [me included] played the entire god o war series, not any worse for it
5) safe spaces- have been proven detrimental

Bingo, as I said nothing we can do to stop it. And this is better than them being sexual active in real life. People are cruel, my friend was force to have a child she did not want because her parents wanted her to learn a lesson about being sexual active. It ruined her school life because where we live. Parents had to give blessing to do an abortion. Even if it was a risk to her health they still force her to do it. That is the great values some parents have here in the states. *claps*


For all of you upset about protecting the kids. In the Washington post it showed young teen girls going to prison for being victims of sexual abuse. Sex-trafficked children are being double abused in Nevada. That is something to fight for, not ryne rights.

I'm not even shocked. As I said, this game has a serious problem with people escaping in it so much, that they think it is real. The reality is blur for some of them. That is why when someone says something bad about the game. They get offended, and even toss out threats. It is sad state, that people will go this far. To me that is a bigger problem than the ERP community.

There seems to be 2 sets of people posting in this thread - those who don't mind NSFW mods / ERP and those who do.

As someone who is neutral, (I play on PS4 so I can't even do mods), I have to say that the people posting in support of these things seem to be mostly polite and able to make their point coherently. While the main tactic of those against these things seems to be to post 'Ur a pedo' over and over again.

Saying for example that parents should have responsibility for their children doesn't make you a paedophile. That's common sense.

I don't see anyone in this thread actively seeking out children for sex, so cool it with the baseless insults.

And to those saying this is a teen game so ERP is unacceptable, I have to ask if you've actually played this game at all. (Especially the MSQ.)

This game that trivialises and even glorifies rape of women and children. A game full of references to brothels and pleasure houses, prostitutes and sex slaves.

A game that gives one of the races lingerie, stilettos and a thong as its starting gear.

A game with a titty slider...

And for those who seriously believe that all teens should be in bed by 8pm with a glass of milk and their teddy bear, do you even have children? Have you ever looked at their browser history?

Image sites like DeviantArt, anime sites with sexualised images of young girls, video sites with real life violence and sex.

That's when they're not playing online shooting games and screaming about 'f***ing your mother'. Or sister. Or you.

You're worried about them seeing nude mods, (which they can't do unless they install them on their PC). But FFXIV is likely the least of your worries.

In truth, there's nothing wrong with wanting to protect children or shield them from unsavoury stuff on the Internet. But I don't get that vibe from most of those posting here. Most seem to be the usual anti-RP lot using this mod thing which hardly anyone will have, to paint everyone in the RP (and especially ERP) communities as molesters.

I don't think there are many teens even playing this game. I tried to find demographic data to indicate what percentage are under 18 but I couldn't find anything official. If you have something, go ahead and post.

Looking at the unofficial posts and polls and charts, it does seem that those under 18 only make up a small percentage of the population. And those in the younger teen category (13-15) are barely represented at all.

I also did some scouring of the web to see if I could find evidence that FFXIV has any major issues with grooming. And it really does not seem to at all. I found a handful of isolated incidents relating to specific individuals. But no evidence that there is any widespread problem.

So let's be a bit mature about this. Parents need to teach their children about the dangers of the Internet. Adult role players should always make it clear that under-age teens are not welcome in their establishments. And 99.9% of lalafells are not paedophile groomers looking to trap unsuspecting children.

Finally I would point out to those who don't like these nude mods and ERP in general; you do realise that while you keep bumping this thread to the top of the forum you are just advertising those things? Most people don't have a clue where to find an ERP brothel or nude mods or that these things even exist. But you're doing a great job of advertising the fact every time people come to this forum...

It's against the TOS so why are you arguing for it? This isn't second life, so the space is for teens as much as it is for adults. I don't have a problem with either mods or ERP, most of us don't care, but half of you started rolling the.. It's not their fault to be attracted to children :c, saying art/mods depicting minors are A-okay, comparing it to LGBT, and caring more about these people's rights than those of the victims.

All people are arguing for is the ability to use NSFW mods and ERP with other adults. There are no "laws" against any of it, so don't be obtuse.

People who don't like those 2 things are doing what people always do when they want to take a disingenuous, dramatic stance against something they don't like; they're making it about children. The solution to this issue with children becoming involved in communities that ARE NOT for them is simple; these children need better parents. That's it... The world doesn't need to change; communities excised; adult activities removed; people just need to start watching their kids.

So you advocate to ban certain things as those are unappropriate, endangerment for children and support "pedos" and negative "international" perception of the game, but not really? As You are not against "ERP" and "Mods".
