Please Square-Enix solve the housing problem with Island Sanctuaries

Also, housing isn't really all that much fun if you have no one to share your work with, it is tedious and time consuming, when ever i finish a build, i am eager to show it to people in my FC and discuss it or get new ideas, or just try to invite random people to come and look, maybe finding new customers or friends that way.

Sounds like your motivation isn't the same as everyone else's.

I decorate for my pleasure and satisfaction, not to show off what I've done to others. While my house is open to visitors who come across it on their own, I don't go out of my way to get them.

Some players simply want a place to call their own and decorate. That's it. Having a house gives them far more options than they get with an apartment.

They're just as deserving of the opportunity to own a house as you are.

Correct, but a lot of players are still hoping that SE will add housing to it some time in the future.

Personally, I don't want a house on a farm so I'd rather they created a new instanced housing system separate from Island Sanctuaries and apartments.

To be honest, I'd LOVE to have a small individual instance that would let me pick the plot and then the game would auto-populate the rest with area-appropriate houses and NPCs.

That happens with some of the Dimensions in RIFT. They basically take a piece of the game world and make it available as a Dimension. Some are wilderness, some are city, some are a blank template. You get to build on the Dimension as you like up to the item limit. There are pre-fab buildings and items, there are also a variety of Building Blocks to create your own items. No glitch tricks needed, free placement, rotation, resizing allowed.

Arokk might feel overly impressed by the housing system here but those who have had a chance to play with ESO, Wildstar, RIFT and others aren't because we know how much more is possible.

One of the things I like most about housing is the neighborhood aspect as it gives me the feel of being an actual resident of Eorzea. Zoning into a housing instance that's just me in front of my house with no others around me, or worse, loading directly into a house I can't leave, would take away that charm. If we have, or have had, a house, we've experienced the empty ward thing, so I get the argument for instanced housing. In ESO you can let people enter in your house, they can use some of your furniture (crafting tables, for example), you can make tournaments on it (PvP fights for example) or have some of your mounts there. You could do the same here and you wouldn't feel alone. In fact, I've being around my FC house and almost never see anyone around for calling wards really neighborhoods.

Sanctuaries are going to be whatever they've been designed to be.
SQEX isn't going to rework or change them to meet anyone's request this close to launch, especially since we haven't even had a chance to experience the content yet.

We already have instanced housing its called appartments. And you'll get gardening with Endwalker. Why request things already in game or planned to be released soon?

The creative freedom and possibilities are not the same between appartments and houses, you know it very well. And appartments are also limited in supply (unsure about FC ones though).

I understand the request.
Perhaps they were designed to be this, perhaps they were not. But they're not going to be changed from what they were designed to be until they've at least been released.

Requesting changes to unknown content... I don't understand that.

Rather that than people who think they want a house and once they get it it stands empty cause they quit the game.

I suspect that the lack of instanced housing is so that players that have a house have an a sense of loss if they quit the game.

I can imagine this would suck, but isn't there some sort of expiration that automatically relinquishes the house if they don't visit it for a while?
