Good.Gonna stop shitposting for a second to say there's a pretty big difference between a 2-3 inch height gap and a 2-3 feet height gap. Especially when most fem Viera are cowards that refuse to be max height anyways, and more than likely won't take advantage of the "giant snu-snu bunny woman, tiny soft bunny boi" aesthetics that was pushed for so hard in the first place.
Why wouldn't they be? That's how evolution worked for us and it's why women overwhelmingly prefer taller men.
Hi fellow gay guy here o/. Despite me currently playing a miqote i was actually hoping Male Viera would be beefier and more masculine than what we got. What we got was very lazy and they don’t look very different from the females. The height difference was already sad as it seems the only reason that happened was the loud twitter crowd wanting them to be shorter than females so they can be the big strong dominant moms or whatever (actual verbiage used in a lot of cases), but the fact they have no masculine facial features like even miqote have the option of is pathetic. They gave them the facial hair option but it looks horrible on them as it looks like you essentially put facial hair on a woman and just isn’t designed well at all.I doubt it. As a gay guy myself I've found that many gay men want to play tall, conventionally attractive handsome men. A lot of the people who fawn over overly feminine men actually turn out to be 'fujoshi' - women who obsess over the idea of gay men but project their feminity into the relationship and as such end up pushing stuff that a lot of actual gay men dislike. Such as negative stereotypes, abusive relationships and so on.
Many of those pushing for feminine aesthetics to be glorified are neither male or gay, generally speaking. Exceptions do exist, of course, but contrary to what social media and the regular media implies the majority of gay men do not actually conform to the stereotypes pushed by either platform.
Let's not forget, a not insignificant number of people were asking for male viera to have options to be taller, beefier and more masculine. Evidence of such can be found throughout the various male viera threads. I think it's telling that the thread died shortly after the official reveal was put forward - they'll not be as niche as, say, female roegadyn but I doubt they'll become the most popular male racial pick. At least not where the European servers are concerned based on current trends.
Yeah taller, angrier fem Xaela will forever be a missed opportunity, much like male Viera on pace to be a flavor of the month on EW launch.
I'm gonna be a max height himbo rabbit and tower above the horde of min height femboys and cowardly fem Viera that makes a naturally tall race as short as possible, and nothing will stop me.
Then I'll get bored and return to being a midget that doesn't even break past 3 feet tall.

Tallest Male Viera will still tower over most people. I like the boy bunnies, will probably play one for a bit until I get sick of not being able to wear my precious hat (I tend to race change a lot but the hat is a constant).Hi fellow gay guy here o/. I am fine with them being shorter than the women at max height, it's something a bit different. I admit I never quite understood why people felt like they needed to look incredibly petite and delicate, though. According to the lore the male viera are far from being timid, delicate creatures. They are, in fact, exceedingly deadly. The reason no outsiders have ever seen one is because anyone who has ever encountered one, knowingly or not, hasn't lived to talk about it.
That is true tbh. A lot of my friends play male miqo'te and make them as feminine as possible and we're all female. I'm just sitting here being a boring female midlander because I wanted to make myself.I doubt it. Square Enix have extorted money from Viera and Hrothgar's limitations, but from the outside looking in it seems barely any of that money is invested back into the limited races. How much money have they made from players
fantasia'ing to and from the limited races? We want more race-exclusive hair.
We want them improved, and we want it done within a reasonable time.
to add onto the viera discussion i think you can be pretty tall as a male viera, considering most people play hyur and miqo‘te on mid height (most played races). ideally i would have loved the males around 190cm ~ too, about the same height as females, not because i hate the idea them being smaller, but just because there would have been a bigger gap to male miqo‘te and especially male hyurs - which would‘ve resulted in more variety ingame for me personally. would have even loved if the females as a compensation could go up to around 195~ max. for the people that liked the idea of a race where the females are taller
after playing a little bit with the benchmark it seemed like they were barely taller than male hyur, would have loved if the height gap between those two would have been a tiny bit more noticeable - mostly because hyurs themselves are the most popular race.
i‘m still pretty hyped for the males and will probably make the switch day one!

to get back on topic abit i would love to have the CC reworked in the future, especially the taller races imo who always seem to have some weird design choices, like highlander for example - would love to see more handsome face options and good darn EYEBROWS xD
also more differentiation between the clans would be neat! a taller option for female au ra as a clan with less cutesy emotes would have been nice for example.

I think they look just fine. Only wish they separate the horns from the face so could pick which horns liked the best. also be nice if the added more horn styles to pick from.
