Au Ra not Au'ra

Au Ra not Au'ra
I'd attribute it to the simple fact that Xaela had a lot more lore and presence upfront compared to Raen, who were barely present in-game by comparison. Luckily that has since changed.
As for aesthetics, arguably red, gold and white works particularly well with the hue of Raen scales. Though I've even made darker colours work as well.
So long as people avoid the facial option that lacks a defined jaw, I think that they can make a pretty good looking male Au Ra regardless of whether they pick Raen or Xaela.

Lore might sway role-players but I’m not sure that folks that don’t would really be bothered by one appearing in the story more than the other. I think its more the skin tone to scale color. If male raen had gold scales or white scales the gap would be smaller I think, but as is the current tan emphasizes how odd some headgear looks with horns and makes the lines between scale textures and skin textures more apparent.
Probably dumb question, where were you able to see the male bun character creation options?I think Viera will make this flip, the Bun Bun boys are way too cute ...
Edit: (at Post count for the day![]()
While true, and an interesting fact, which misses a few details from the Benchmark:
Male Viera
186.5 (6'1.44") Max
172.2 (5'7.68") Min
---
Female Viera
191.4 (6'3.36") Max
178.8 (5'10.44") Min
Variance:
Max 4.9cm (1.92")
Min 6.6cm (2.76")
But this has nothing to do with Cute Factor, Bun Bun Bois are cute, like no matter how hard you try they are adorable, while Female Viera can be everything from super cute to tough Tomboy's with attitude.
Like really easy to be a Girl with a goatee...
but try to go rugged...
(my best shot at a masculine Male Viera, I did try too. Sleepy Stoner Eyes, natural hair and eye color, the least feathered hair style. Floppy ears for added stoner looks. Face Tatts in black, no lip color, goatee if this was Live I would name him Shaggy Twinky'eater) Referencing the Junk food found at 7-11, and not the slang.
Meanwhile on Live. My Viera Alt.

I like the dimorphism and wish the upcoming male viera one was more pronounced.
Extremely late but inevitable daily reminder that I will never forgive SE for making fem Au Ra so small compared to their male counterparts.
Gonna stop shitposting for a second to say there's a pretty big difference between a 2-3 inch height gap and a 2-3 feet height gap. Especially when most fem Viera are cowards that refuse to be max height anyways, and more than likely won't take advantage of the "giant snu-snu bunny woman, tiny soft bunny boi" aesthetics that was pushed for so hard in the first place.
yeah but you can best believe like there will be a ton of short male viera due to it going to be very popular with gay men.Gonna stop shitposting for a second to say there's a pretty big difference between a 2-3 inch height gap and a 2-3 feet height gap.
