You really want to make sure that nobody shows up when a dungeon is "in need" and "in progress".
You have options to hide chat ingame.. how could they harass you in a duty for 90min without a chat unless your saying attempting the content is harassment to a player who signed up for the roulette?

An no I said the mentor couldn't leave until one of those conditions are met.. they shouldn't be leaving till they're met anyways

Holding someone captive in an instance is harassment by any definition. It's somewhat common in Mobas. Also if this change was implemented, people would try harder to find a way out of it. Forcing the game closed is often a go to strategy. Additionally you defined the rules for Mentors being allowed to leave as "they are the last on there" which instantly doesn't work if there is two or more mentors present.

Yes they could try forcing a D/C but as I said they can't be removed via vote dismiss.. so that player would effectively be unable to play the game until they logged back in an completed the duty or the other players completed it or left.. thus ensuring that the player has to commit to the roulette or not play the game for how ever long it would take..

Additionally if everyone was a mentor left in the duty that still completes the requirement that it just being the mentor remaining inside so they could then leave..

To be honest SE needs to Crack down on the shit mentors are pulling ingame.. we all know what they are and how they are doing them and it needs to end.. end the system or start banning players from being mentors somehow..

Ok, since players can't be forced to play the game you'd just end up with mentors holding entire EX groups hostage with a 2 bar LB and offline status. You're encouraging an arms race of toxicity when the simplest solution is to let anyone that doesn't want to be there leave.

Yes, it's best to permit the standard penalty and allow backfill. Even if the group collapses, especially if the group collapses.

Furthermore, if I somehow "give" you the option that Square has it in their power to prevent Mentors from withdrawing from an instance (again, they don't; you'll just not see them), that only incentivizes mentors to remove players that have failed to prepare for the fight in question so they get a fast clear and can move on.

The core problem with extremes in mentor roulette is the penalty for staying is greater than the penalty for leaving. Adjust the penalty for any of it you'll notice an increase in queue times across the board, not just extremes.

If anything can be changed, it's the entire concept of an extreme duty finder queue. I'd much rather we go back to the days of Wineport premades only for extreme/savage content just to keep that content hidden from view outside of PF, especially when the alternative is a sprout trying to demand players sandbag them.
