Guys, I have a question why there is no such excitement around mods for Skyrim, there is everything the same and even worse ... Everyone plays as they like, these modifications are optional, and the fact that the tweeter shows pictures ff14 NSFW is a tweeter problem, not is not it?

I assume it's because Skyrim is a M rated single player game as opposed to a T rated MMORPG.

But the rating of the game is not set depending on the support of mods.
Despite the fact that neither FF14 nor Skyrim has official support for NSFW mods.


In any case, it looks like a medieval witch hunt, no one forces anyone to put on mods and watch NSFW content. You do this at your own peril and risk, in addition, there are warnings almost everywhere that this is adult content.

People gotta remember that FF14 doesn't actually have a fixed age rating. It's 13+ in the US, 16+ in Europe and 15+ in Japan. There are some exceptions like 12+ in Germany or 18+ (yes, you read it right) in Russia. All these age ratings are official. Which is kind of a mess, because it can potentially cause a lot of questions if there're legal issues, but it is what it is.


That said, when it comes to mods it's not only about it being adult content (even though it's a noticeable part of the issue), it's also about copyright. Those who post modded stuff with official hashtags on Twitter can, in fact, harm SE and the game, because somebody from outside might see a model that was scrapped from another game and start asking around why there're FF14 screenshots with items from, let's say, BnS or any other game. Not to mention that by modding just in general people break SE's copyright as well and technically can be sued for this if they really wanted to do that. Copyright laws in Japan are pretty strict, too, so it's a fairly serious topic - probably more than some mods being M-rated, tbh.

At least on PC (web-browser), there's edit -button. No idea if it's different on mobile.

You can't edit on mobile version of the Forum unless you switch from it to web-version (which is kinda painful to navigate on phones).
