had -10enmity gear
had DD gear, not tanking gear.
have no materia for tanking gear.
not tanked GLA since 1.18

With practice (and point allocation respec post 1.21) I'll be fine.

-10 emnity only equals 1% on actions. not trying to burn you or anything just letting you know if you didn't already.

To answer your question OP, the reason you don't see that many GLA put out those numbers is most GLA play the way they read in a guide or how the Ifrit fight was won by a group of people 6 months ago. In MOST parties there should not be any problem using 'DD' abllities and still holding hate. In a FEW parties with experienced players and a speed win this would not work though. Lets be honest, when is the last time you ever got a speed win in a pickup party. I can remember 1-2 in 100+.

Basically what Syntaxlies said. All it takes is one DD to be bad for everyone else to look better. From what I can see. It seems to be gld lnc thmx3 pgl cnjx2.

1st I see 3 people under 1k meaning one of the DD was really bad that 1st run (or was a cnj.) Thus increase the others damage.
2nd Was a long fight 20+ mins which favors the tank more because DD spend more time running.

Typically all DD should be around 8-12k damage on ifrit. If not they're poor DD and the reason everyone is doing more then they should.

I'm not trying to be mean or anything I'm sure you are a good player. But a parser only shows who is more agressive/better player. I've had Ifrits where I've done up to 20k damage. Not because I'm the best Archer there is. But because the other DD in the group were horrible. Find a group with Good Archers/Thms. Then show us the results I doubt it will be anywhere close to what you got in this group.

Every pick up party I've joined for Ifrit was always speed kill, hell, I have even done moogle speed kill on pick ups...

Not saying pick up parties suck. EVERY pick up party you have been in is a speed win? I find that hard to believe. A 10-15 minute kill is not a speed win just an average party. The only time I get speed wins is when everyone in the fight is a "pro" and knows what they are doing. Even then it is dependent on how many jumps he does. By the time most people are pros at Ifrit they do not do pickup parties.

Think we are mixing up selective recruit pick up and random pickup. Random you can end up n a group that has never done it before

Well today i did again some ifrit. I did 5-6k on 10 min win. Forget to save the image of the parse. This time i was using Ifrit's Sword. I was doing 58~ each rage hit.

I try using a blucker (Gridanian Buckler), kite (Canopus Shield) and hooplon (Vintage Scutum) with Aegis Boon and with any shield i always get a fixed 703 of hp. I don't really get what is the calc of that...
