I'd like a few pieces of some of the outfits, but not enough to buy the whole sets.

This is one of the big things for me as well. If I like, say, the boots from an outfit but nothing else there's no option to just buy the boots, so a pair of boots is now going to cost the full $25, and that's just silly.

The other issue in terms of cash shop glamour for me is dyeability. Some of the pieces and sets are very nice, but because they're not dyeable the value instantly goes down for me. I actually like all of the pieces in Ryne's set but because it's not dyeable, I really have almost no interest in it especially at it's current price.

Based on what I see in-game enough people seem to be buying the latest shiny mounts and emotes added to the Mog Station the moment they are available so to me, at least, the pricing seems spot on.

I'm not sure what is meant to be 'hilarious' about that. Nor is it, unfortunately, anything new - though even in terms of strife, there's a market for luxury goods and as such they will continue to be provided for as long as there are buyers.

I would suggest that, if it's such a problem for you personally, you'd probably be more comfortable playing a game that doesn't have a monthly sub? Or avoiding the Mog Station altogether? I know that when I'm hard-up, my best option is not going into town because window shopping will just make me cross.

Possibly it's unfair that some folks have cash to spend on frivolity, and you don't. I can't comment on that because I don't know your circumstances. But unfortunately life is unfair. And there are worse things in the world than the Mog Station

The prices at base cost are pretty standard for an online game, and if people didn't routinely pay for them at that price: it wouldn't be the standard. I have been known to impulse buy fantasias, and an outfit here and there, but I will RARELY buy a mount - not once at full price. I don't really treat myself too often, and I don't buy games or game related items that often either, so splurging every now and again with some of the cash I have budgeted for these kind of purchases doesn't really hurt me in the pocket. You have to ask yourself if the novelty is worth the cost. Personally, I will not be buying any fantasias, or anything from this sale, as I need to get other things instead. I have been wanting to stop buying fantasias altogether anyway.
