immersion is likely the excuse the developers use to cover up some more technical restriction. It's not unlike how they told us at first they didn't add the opposite sexes for viera and hrothgar becuase of lore, but then later confirmed it was because they didn't have the resources to add all four and only more recently have they managed to rework their processes to allow them to squeeze them in.

The fact that glamor is restricted to items you can currently equip on the job is likely connected to some code restriction that keeps them from expanding things out further, and unless they made all gear equippible by all classes, they may not be able to work around it.

Yeah but you can mix and match items in the 'try on' window between different jobs just fine. I'm not going to say it's non-trivial to make a whole system via which the game checks if you have another job leveled to be able to glamour X piece of equipment, but I will say that 'it might be difficult for the devs to do' isn't a reason that loosening glamour restrictions shouldn't be done. Even if it's a utility that's unique to the glamour dresser

Aiming gear doesn't fit dancer anyway. I glam over it, just about every time.

Some is good. I use the Neo Ish aiming on my dancer and love it. Don't wear pants so I can show off the Thighlander namesake and it's perfect.

Doesn't scouting get the same treatment as aiming anyway more often than not? The Penelo outfit from Zadnor? As a DNC main it hurts, it just hurts.

There is so much aiming gear that can work for dancer.

Even just looking at current endgame sets, all three crafted sets and the Paglth'an set suit dancer very well and there are plenty of earlier pieces.

That's what I expect to be the case.

They may not be able to create the semi-restricted situations like "everything but the relic gear" or "everything so long as you have the job levelled even if it's not what you're playing as right now".

It may be all or nothing, and they don't want it to be all so it has to be nothing – and because it's a technical issue and they don't like to admit they can't give people what they want, they tell you that you wouldn't want it anyway.

For a female character maybe. A male one? Not so much. Most of the aiming gear we've been getting this expansion screams MCH to me, barely even fits BRD in some cases. And when it does fit DNC, it's always the same thing: you're either half-naked or wrapped in an abundance of cloth. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but that's just not the aesthetic I want for my character.

Scouting is a bit of anything really. It can take from Striking or Aiming as major examples. It is inconsistent

And as the OP's suggestion, I love it too. It gives a nice goal for players aside for who wants to get their mount, title during their levelling experience while focusing on glamour.

I don't think we will ever get any actual all classes glamour replicas like sky pirate stuff sadly

I am so conflicted about this.
I both agree and disagree.

I don't really think that swimwear etc is the same tho because that is more universal casual stuff, it's not '' gear '' in that same sense and you don't get it from dungeons and raids.
It's more like fluff that people can all still use.
Yes people can still mog it as a tank, but I don't think that it's the same thing as a healer for example getting Fending gear in a dungeon and then using it.

With that said tho I still kinda want this too because as a MNK I like to have my torso loose and then my arms and legs armored.
I kinda like that a lot visually but I do feel rather limited.
I really want more stuff for my MNK like Lyse's leg piece in her early Stormblood attire for example and tanks have basically all of that.
