"Common sense" would dictate that you're more likely to achieve your goal (and/or support from others) by being polite and asking nicely, instead of demanding things and throwing around phrases like "The customer is always right!" - that only makes you appear like (a) a troll or (b) entitled. So in both cases not a person one would want to deal with or take serious in their requests - sorry, demands.
