Problem is that the "feedback" expressed on the OF's are RARELY useful or constructive in any way. Heck, you're lucky if you even get something coherent. Usually it's some pointless whine about something too hard, too easy, or whatever. Sometimes you get semi-well-put-together posts but they're from armchair developers who have no idea about what is actually reasonable to expect from the game; or alternatively, they're suggestions for stuff that would actually just make it worse.

Point is, it's perfectly fine for someone to say they're tired of hearing whining on the forums because a lot of people come here to express their (flawed) opinions on the game; the thread is (in different words) pointing out how most of the feedback is actually pretty useless.

Well that's not something you can control, is it? I mean, look at the english forums. It's a mess. Tons of different topics about the same subject, people from different cultures, etc, etc. For some people, I can post a selfie wearing a t-shirt with SE UR THE BEST before writing anything and I'll probably still be "whining" about everything. A company cannot ignore a feedback just because it is not eloquent.

And all the things you're saying are extremely subjective. What is pointless for you is not for another person. Yet you say that they're whining and saying that some suggestions are "going to make the game worse" because they do not fit your taste, so they shouldn't be here. You're as harsh as the people you're criticizing. You don't get to decide what is useful feedback and what it isn't. You may, of course, think that it's useless, that's just your personal opinion, not the truth.

Completely agree with the OP.

When these thread come up the forum mods should link them to the Lodestone blogs and close the thread.

So many of threads are blog fodder. Like 'I'm leaving' or 'I don't like this' or 'I wish they would change the eyebrow colour of one of the NPCs'

I show my gratitude by paying a monthly sub for almost 3 years without a break. (some Fantasia pots as well). I stay means I like overall the game. However there are some really boring repetitive patterns and some failed attempts on creating new type of content to break those boring repetitive chains and we need to give feedback on this. We also need to look into the future. I will not be happy if we keep being stuck on the same boring content types for years. A part of the community also have some expectations about future content and feature additions. We expect the game to grow and bloom, not remain stagnant and boring. This is what those threads are supposed to give. Our expectations for future. Besides this forum is faaar from being toxic. It is quite friendly and even those negative feedback threads are constructive most of time. You can draw some conclusions and devs showed us that they are listening in some cases. After all if you want constant appreciation and endless fan appraisal there is Reddit for you. Nobody gets upvoted unless you draw a silly artwork, cosplay as Moogle or post some screenshots. Here we must give our feedback.

I put my feedback in the appropriate sub forum.

Most of my suggestions have gone into the UI Improvement sub forum.

At least two of my suggestions there eventually made it into the game, which is neat.
