This isn't true at all. This is like the most false equivalence argument I have seen. FFXIV 1.0 is COMPLETELY different situation than this. I say this as one of the people that quit 1.0 and bought the cruise chaser mount, so there is definitely a difference.like i said, becouse of people with actitud such as this we would still be on ffx1.0.
you are free to do whatever you like im free to complaint for whatever i feel like,
Business and money over player wants is a road you do not want to take, i understood completly your point but i dont agree with you .
theres a diference in not understanding your point and another one taking your point as completly invalid.
Following the " its a company to make money" line is what have brought down many many other games i loved.
The one who wants to stick your fingers in your ears and pretend there is not a problem is clearly not me.
diferent acording to who.To you?
were you on ffx1 forums arguing with the white knights who kept saying game was fine?No you were not.
Do you think this is new to me seen everyone praising the previous game director for the " excelent graphics " while game was on such a poor state before, and absolutly everyone on the forums defending them?
Couse i have seen this trend and i for one dont like it.
It starts slow, and ill say it now , i dont like it and nighter should you ( if you love the game and dont want it to be a p2W)
if you dont care about the game, then just ignore it.
it does not affects you, but some people are passionate about the MMOS we play and dont want to see it go to shit.
if you think " 1 mount is ok" you clearly dont understand were this is going so its pointless to try to explain were this is leading.
Do you think yoshiP was "welcomed with open arms on FFX 1.0?"do you even know how that whent down?
Keep defending this stuff, keep allowing companies to do whatever they want.when game keep throwing more and more stuff into swipe credit card to win on a game were glam and mounts/collections are end game,
We will see were this leads the game.

Nothing slow about it, SE added frequently stuff to the store in the same amount as they always do since the dawn of time. It's not like it is getting worse or anything. It is as good/bad as it always has been. Sure today there is more to buy than back then but it build up over time in the same pace as it always has been.diferent acording to who.To you?

Especially fair i find the seasonal rewards, since players who didn't play the game back then also didn't paid their sub fee. So it's good that they have to pay for it since we also had to pay for that month to get our rewards from a seasonal event.
You sound like a doomsday preacher tbh. Sure SE wants to grow and sell stuff, sure they want to make profit. That's how this world works, lol. And tbh i am glad it does, someone has to pay the bills. And XIV obviously makes the most money for SE and they put that into other projects, like XVI which hopefully won't be a launch disaster like XV.
Btw. your character really fits your nihilism, i like that.
I hope from the bottom of my hearth you are rigth and i am wrong.Nothing slow about it, SE added frequently stuff to the store in the same amount as they always do since the dawn of time. I truly do,
but i seen it happend so often, and this is an iconic mount, it does not belong in an exclusive paywall(unlike everything until now)
time will tell.
past the praise : i do rly loathe the continous comments regarding how multidollar companies needs " our support" buying overpriced stuff to "suppor them.", i rly do.

Me too, me too. You can be sure if they tie mounts to gametime like blizz does/did i will also protest. xD
But i think SE has always been really fair with their cash shop. It's not a cashcow like BDO, which people still defend and i can't understand how.
I can even understand the story skips and boosts. If players want to boost their characters that is fine to me, if they want to just play the endgame. And i think it's fair that they pay for it, since they skip the stuff that would take them time and thus they don't have to pay the sub fee for the months that they would need to level/play through the story. Ofc they don't learn how to play their job, wish there would be a better tutorial for that but yeah.
Thats exactly the point tought, they have been fair " up until now".Me too, me too. You can be sure if they tie mounts to gametime like blizz does/did i will also protest. xD

BDO is easy to explain, is a free game with no subscription game model.cash shop its justified.
regarding boosting,Boosting is making the game content shorter, if thats your thing, im fine with it.
They will be looking for a new game withing a month or two if you bost, thats the player choice.

This is the fundamental point of disagreement that a lot of the people defending the mount seem to not understand. This is the first mount they have added to the game that arguably belongs in the game, not in the store. This is an iconic boss in XIV, boss mounts are all sacred. Square Enix is testing the waters and seeing if they can get away with putting mounts in the store that belong in-game. Yes, I'm aware of Sleipnir and I don't like that mount either, but that's more of a gray area.
So I disagree, the number of mounts per year isn't going up (yet) but the overstepping is. I mean, where else can you get an 8-seater in-game? It is getting worse.

ohh i see now...this mount you can have inside the game and now its in stores? This is the fundamental point of disagreement that a lot of the people defending the mount seem to not understand. You make sleipnir cry. I always thought odins mount was iconic too but yeah. And where you can get an 8-seater in-game? In the next expansion, lol. Not that hard to understand. It's not like they can bring out a second set of mounts for the raid tiers. xD The first eden tier also had a 4 seater which was the only and first 4 seater in the entire game at that given time. But yeah. Sure. It's getting worse. This is the fundamental point of disagreement that a lot of the people defending the mount seem to not understand. I like the 8-seater whale tho. We also got the motorcycle back then and everyone was hyped. Not that wrong to tie stuff to events like the fanfest. What's next, the preorder mount is also bad? I think it's rather good than bad that they made the fanfest mount, especially for this fanfest which was the first exclusive online fanfest, more valuable. Ofc the design of the mount is...idk...i think it's ugly.
Dunno how people can be so stingy about a bit of cash.

No it wasn't? The first four seater was the FFXV car mount from the collab event which came out during Stormblood in April. Eden didn't even release until July 30th. So not only are you wrong, but you have no idea what you're talking about and it's hard to take you seriously.
