Personally, my friend group is far more annoyed at this seasons pvp mount since for us, that was one of our favorite coil mobs, and it's locked to the top 100 pvpers on the data center, of which we are not.

Not really. I've got them all and have nothing to spend my make it rain mgp onThey have plenty of mounts, emotes and glamour to spend MGP on.
They have plenty of rewards for doing ranked PVP and non-ranked glamours and emotes
They have plenty of rewards to spend achievement points on
They have plenty of rewards to earn through content like Boja
Raiders have plenty of mounts available just do the content
A new mount gets added to mog and people act like there's literally nothing to earn in game through the content available.
Screw the ranked crap. I've got all the currency stuff, and I'm working on the current rival wings objectives, but I'll gladly push back the dead-end of that reward structure, or have an incentive to play differently from what I usually do in that content.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA -WHEEZE- AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA no they don't.
Man, I didn't say bozja now did I? Still, would've been more productive to put it there anyway. Thanks for the suggestion!
I've done the content. We are in a content drought right now. Would've been cool if it was some bonkers reward for TEA like the primal mounts. (Idk, have it still be personal loot. Have a hidden roll to see if it drops that run, and if it does drop, have a hidden roll to see which person gets it in their personal drop. If that person already has it the runner up roll gets it, and so on and so forth. Once everyone has it unlocked or in their inventory, the whole party gets an extra totem when a mount would drop. Then let us exchange totems for decor or the mount drop if our luck sucks that much.)
Your definition of "plenty" is not objective. You can say "I have plenty to work for" and that'd be fine. But a lot of XIV's content has an end wall, and those of us who like to dabble in a lot of things and are goal oriented, we tend to hit that wall at the end of an expansion.
And an end-of-expansion content drought is NOT the place where you want to start sticking anything in the cash shop when people are waiting for something new to do. Like what? I log in to buy something, stand around in a zone that lets me mount then log off? Nah, you want to put those little extra collectables in there for bonus objectives that are easy to implement to give people a twist on gameplay they otherwise wouldn't engage with (x kills as a cruise chaser in rival wings, giving raiders who are done with savage that little boot in the butt to maybe dabble in ultimates, SPEND THE BONUS CURRENCY THAT THEY EARNED IN THE MOST RECENT EVENT). Help keep sub numbers up for veterans, and keep the game engaging while we're all waiting for the exciting thing to happen. It's literally why they space the fomo events out the way they do, to keep sub counts up during lulls.

This is super disappointing. I expected better decisions from the team. This feels pretty off
I agree, i rarely ever complain regarding the Mogstation items etc because i think they aren't as good as what we already have in-game.
Especially since we got the E4S mount which was a 4 seater i was like "ok, now we really got on equal measures with the Mogstation" and i didnt really care that much anymore about the multi-seat mounts on the store.
The reason why i personally felt like this was such a slap in the face was because, it always used to be such a throwaway argument that the shop in FFXIV is very ... "big".
Yet never did i feel like i got cheated out of content when something got added to the store.
Today that feeling changed, and i kinda feel betrayed/dissapointed especially since a lot of people used to meme about how big the store is, we defended it because it wasn't essential stuff per se.
Why make enemies for short term profit SE ? I thought you were better than this.
Maybe in the end i was a bit too naive afterall.

Why on the store? Money. People buy. Company make mad money.
You know there was a time in gaming before everyone white knighted game companies for removing product from the game that you would get regular updates and new items in the game for no extra cost. Some you didn't even pay a sub for. Now you pay a sub, you pay 60 for every new expansion and you pay hundreds of dollars for content taken out of the game. Then you have people white knighting se like se has no control over what goes in the game and what goes to the mog station. Its a complete joke. You have people that are for putting things on mog station but not that item they want to be from the game cause it has special meaning. You can't have your pie and eat it too. Then those special people that are like SE is a business they are suppose to make money. Yeah that is what your sub is for. They would keep the lights on this game even if it didn't have a mog station. The mogstation is investors and board members greed. Plain and simple. Either it exists or it doesn't but you wanted it so swipe those credit cards for the exclusive $30 cruise chaser that got removed from the game that could have been rewarded from so much other content. But hey we got a free bear in the seasonal event, you are happy right? This is what we deserve as a community.
