Why is the Cruise Chaser mount from the Mogstation?

not a good call at all, i support mogs costumes and emotes but CC as a paid mount was kinda too much.

Putting it on Mogstation makes is less cooler than it could be, now will be just another wallet mount. Paid walls takes always the prestige of having a cool mount

People sure do get weirdly entitled over cash shop mounts.

Things that go in the cash shop are planned from the start to be in the cash shop, so it doesn't make any sense to say it should have been a free mount from an achievement or whatever, they just wouldn't have made it at all if it wasn't going in the cash shop. The way Yoshi-P talks about the cash shop lady makes it sound like it's an entirely separate department that he doesn't even have much say over.

What a shame. While a cash shop in B2P+sub game is BS in the first place, especially CC is a mount that deserve to be earned in game, not bought.

Damn, didn't know those were the only options! Coping paying 30 dollars for something already in the game for years by saying at least it ain't locked behind one game mode. It's no wonder SE gets away with it.

Better start researching then.
Seeing how it's already begun I doubt that this will be the end of it.
So if it bothers you then don't stick too long so you feel like you've wasted time in FFXIV once you finally decide to leave due to it.

Not trying to be sarcastic or anything.
All I'm saying is that you shouldn't "waste" your personal time here if this is something that will make you leave a game.
As this will happen again at some point for sure.

There is an argument to be made about assets used in-game vs a 100% exclusive cash shop item.

The problem is, every MMO does this. So you have to stop playing MMOs.


The one thing that would help against shop mounts: don't buy them. If nobody buys them then it is dead invested money and the will stop to create them. But there are always enough shop mount andys and it is always a good investition. So you have to deal with it or stop playing.


The funny thing is, in WoW they have removed the /spit-emote from the TBC client because there is a special Weakaura (Weakauras is an UI addon) that spits on players with the shop mount. They protect the customers that give them money. And believe me, SE will do it too if giving money creates a backslash to the customers.
