I'm fine with Male Viera, although I do hope they retcon the lore a tad to make them a better fit, but this is a pretty poor argument.



Because they never really give that impression, the exact opposite really, with the early game explaining that other adventurers exist and are reasonably common, and that forming parties is an in-world thing that said adventurers do.

Adventurers exist, yes.. who would've thunk, they're not the WoL just faceless nameless merry group much like how Azem used to get things done back in the day. Even then the amount of times we are canonically gathering allies is rare. Also there is nothing to retcon, a viera that abandons the forest is an exile regardless of gender, it's not like they were bound in chains.
