PVP REWARDS SUGGESTION (FEAST)

If any Joe Bob can get the rewards by farming the wolf marks then I see no point. I worked for those rewards, even a recolor would be slap in the face, and I'm not going to complain about not getting something like the season 1 coat because I wasn't around.

It wouldn't hurt anyone not to get those rewards, but it would hurt all those that worked for them if they get re-released.

trying feverishly to imagine an alternate universe in which this was the case for PvE and people were locked out of obtaining EX/savage mounts after the tier unlocked, and we have ten billion threads asking for the old mounts only to be told by raiders that it wouldn't be fair to the people that did them on content if you could go in with higher item levels and unsync and just burn them, and that they'd quit the game if they saw someone that joined in ShB riding the gobwalker lol

It would probably be acceptable if SE did this from day 1, but right now everyone is used to a more casual approach so there would be backlash.

I'd be ok for something unique for the first top 100 ultimate clears for example. I'd never be able to get it, but it would be cool to see a player with it and you can immediately know they are the best. Right now in ffxiv everyone can get almost everything, nobody really stands out.

Not specifically you. But the exclusive mindset vs the general population of the player base is probably why feast will end. The game is designed so everyone can get every thing. It is pretty well its thing. You are probably right about the backlash, but what are we talking a couple hundred players considering alts. Feast rewards don't even make 1% of players. Again probably a good reason feast will die, because they aren't locked into the old exclusive rewards. It would be bad faith to give old rewards away. Not so sure about slight redesigns. They literally took PvE mount coloured it and said pay me. So they aren't exactly spotless.
