I mean what more can I say? You can't say anything, you can't report, vote kick most of the time don't work. Your time is getting wasted and all you can do is leave the group. It must be hard not being able to take your anger out on people wasting your time. Be brave! I bet the worse feeling also is they are having fun, and you can't do anything about it.
I mean, c'mon. You can do better than this.
Weird, I must be conversing with NPCs then. SE really stepped up their AI game!
So can you point out where I am wrong? You can't so you deflect.
I think you all miss my point. Myself, I enjoy testing and improving my skills. I came from being a hardcore raider. So I get enjoyment out of pushing myself and doing a fight better and better. So I understand people who are like that. What I don't understand is expecting other players to play how you want them in a pug settings, that you did not make the group.
That is it. You have no stance to stand on because the game is design, and encourages players to do duty finder in this way, and Yoshi P clearly states that, and how you feel about it does not matter.
As he said, why is it so hard to understand? Some of you are acting like, it is a respect thing, and I'm just like..that is your perspective nothing more. As long as the developers, enforce the rules. You can't do anything to people who don't try that hard in the content that you let the game build a group for.
This is working as intended.
To me it is like going to a Steak house and complain that Taco bell is not in the order menu. You work with what you got, and what the menu offers.

to the original post. they will never change it to this. but it would be nice tbh.
I yeet them right out the instance. Yes, problem players deserve a kick.
Lol this is exactly what I meant from earlier. People putting in little effort, doing heavensward dps in shadowbringers content, must be coddled and protected at all times.
Defend them from the evil elitist who wants them to use their AOE.
I'm new to the game, just started playing a few days ago and look forward to dipping my toes into hardcore content later on. Played many MMOs including WoW but am not a WoW refugee since it has never been my main game, I can say that as a new player I know my first times doing anything hard I'm going to f*** up, I'm not going to know the mechanics right off the bat and even if I looked them up I still have to learn how to maneuver my character in-game accordingly which takes practice. I will say that I'd appreciate if people weren't elitist and are patient with newbies learning the ropes. I feel like this thread falls into the common saying of "treat others the way you want to be treated", if you were new to an MMO and finally hit the level and gear to qualify for top content and you tried it and messed up and everyone cussed you out for f***ing up how'd you feel? Like s*** right? That kind of harassment isn't going to make cussed-out person better at playing, if anything it's going to put them off from trying similar content again. All it does is create and spread toxicity in the game, because those players you harass for f***ing up will think it's okay to do it to other players.
if youre doing hardest possible content, there is no shame to look on some guides on youtube. those hardest version is just updated version of normal ones. people expect some skill. there is always room for learning, but it depends which one content you mean. there are always some people who are rude and anyway bad to others when failing, so when this happen, best thing is just left them in their missery and try luck again later. toxicity and elitism is here, but not so much as you think .I'm new to the game, just started playing a few days ago and look forward to dipping my toes into hardcore content later on. Can you point where anyone has asked for others to play "how we want" in excess of having at least basic competency and respect for others' time? Or can you only strawman? So can you point out where I am wrong? You can't so you deflect.

The basic competency and respect for peoples time is asking other players to care enough to do that. By the way, I think you need to look up what a strawman is.
Why should people care about your time or anyone elses time? If your time has so much value, why are you playing a game? It is a perspective thing. Your values on what it is to do content with others has nothing to do with anyone but yourself. You have your code, I or anyone else in the group don't have to follow or agree with it.
Many people who play the game, and don't care how long a dungeon takes, or even care if they mess up. Basic competency also can mean many things to many people. For example, If someone has trouble with movement on a monk and doing the fight. I rather them just do the fight and take the dps hit on not doing the movement. Or if someone does not like using mediate as a Sam. I'm ok with that because the content will still get done, and if they is how they have fun so be it.
The point is, The only respect any of you deserve is following the rules of the game. That is it, anything else is a luxury. You want people to have the same values as you? Make your own group for it. The convenience of the game making you the group can come at the price of quality. As I said that is working as intended.
It's called common courtesy and it's what allowed us to achieve a more or less decent social structure.
Funny how much of the debate in the real world centers around merit but this game's #gcbtw preaches that we should be fine with and accept obvious freeloaders in group activities and if we ask for something more we're toxic elitists.
