For example, it isn't actually helping people who suffer from trypophobia because there's many more items, icons and environmental designs such as coral and giant honeycombs that have far more numerous holes clustered together. Somehow I doubt that they'll be changed and surely they've been a bigger problem for individuals who suffer from the phobia in question?

It does help, because not everyone is triggered by the same things. One person can get sick to their stomach from seeing X while another person with the condition is fine. I'm not bothered by the honeycombs in the game, for instance, but others are. Others are fine with the monk chakra icon, but it bothers me to look at it and makes me uncomfortable. So people were affected by this enough that they gave feedback and changing it will help those who had that negative of a reaction. I'm sure if Endwalker was already released and they couldn't change it, either they would have apologized for not being able to change it or figured out something else if they could. It just happens they were currently in a place where they could make the edit.

While not a visual thing, a reminder JP players also did complain about the GNB sound effects and those were changed, despite ShB already being out.

So they 100% can change things already put in.

I think we're quick to blame Twitter and "vocal minorities" for everything and anything and forgetting/conveniently leaving out other regions around here.

To be fair that blame is usually warranted nowadays, but not always.

I honestly don't know so I won't speak to that. The game is playable in several regions sometimes with their own social media and forums of choice, in several languages not all of us speak or read so it gives a warped view of who's asking for or complaining about what exactly.

I also have fear of heights to the point I get paralyzed if I'm close to fences and ledges. Maybe I should ask for them to not have any area where I can look down when we're really high up, like Mt Gulg and Leap of Faith. What, you have no empathy?

I'm just curious, how do you feel about the GATE "Leap of Faith"? Do you do it or do you skip because of your phobia? I'm not trying to be mean I am genuinely curious.

As for my thoughts on the change, I don't think it's a big deal at all. Though I'm not a fan of what they changed it to. Looks goofy.

I think one of the other things to think about is this change does nothing to lessen the perception that the Japanese playerbase is listened to more than anyone else.

Because there have been loads of things brought up on other forums but it seems that the devs only really address issues that come from the Japanese forums.

this should be the main take away for most people if they want something changed: switch to any JP DC, autotranslate your complaints and get it upvoted and you have a decent chance of it happening
