Well, i do understand OP's point on his side of the argument, but the final say in this will be on Squeenix's matter. A good reference to this is Yoshi P.'s Interview about 3rd party programs being used. The moment they will ever decide to permanently ban everyone who ever used one (and i am sure that there is a Log for this kind of thing on the Player Data, but that is just a wild guess on my part), it will definitely include Bard's who use those kind of tools to perform music.

And honestly, i am excited about this day to come, it will be a butthurt of tremendous impact when dozens of Players get banned suddenly because of that and the Forums will be literally on fire.

They won't do that. I know plenty of people that would quit the game entirely if they added in a legit anticheat and can't use cosmetic mods due to the insane lack of individuality the game offers with character creation. Square would be shooting themselves in the foot at this point to ban those using mods, BMP, ACT, etc. because it's a much larger group of people than you think.

Their stance on mods/3rd party is: "Keep it to yourself and don't bully anyone with them and you're fine."

A log? xD For all the data? Holy shoot you are killing me. Do you even know how this stuff works? What client side applications/addons/mods are? Obviously not. If they don't decide to implement anti cheat spy software on your pc which they don't cause legal reasons...they can never really find out if one uses mods or act or any of that since it doesn't really interact with any data that gets send back to the server.

Not here to justify any of these mods/addons but heck you can wait for all eternity for this reckoning, it will never come.

Its funny that you bring up the (or rather "an") interview with Yoshida on that matter of use of third party programs, because I recently saw one (I think the most recent one) and my most important take away from said interview was that he really wishes for everyone to just enjoy the game, instead of going on a hunt or being excited about people getting banned over things like using ACT to see your own numbers.

...the same would probably apply to the use of third party tools for bards - no one is hurting anyone by not playing those songs themself.

From my impression Yoshida would be annoyed by people being petty like this than by people using something to get more enjoyment out of the game.
