All I will say is never never use the name of a sex offender,murder,terrorist,etc As a name for anything in a MMO. You basically asked the community to report you up the wazoo. Using that name now on a new account it goes without question that in the gm's eyes it looked you are/were trying to offend people.

I mean yes, the punishment seemed excessive at first, but not knowing what the retainer names were (can only guess how bad) and further exposure to the wit and charm of the OP, it became apparent it was not just a pleasant conversation about naming policy.

GMs aren't perfect and I've always felt that they could be a bit more transparent, but...this sounds like a problem you brought on yourself. Maybe don't choose inflammatory names for things? Just a thought.
