His tag includes Bill Cosby (C) The 14 words (14) and the KKK (Klan). These are not innocent things. The 14 words moreso than the others as it’s lesser known, but given context, it is not a huge conclusion to jump to that he knew/knows what 14 would mean when placed next to the “K” that stands for clan in his FC tag (C14K)

surely those are just all coincidences, he actually meant a different cosby, the use of "Klan" instead of "clan" is because he is of german descent and 14 was used in Honor of final fantasy 14 of which he thought everyone was so nice to him until this farce happened. i mean really, who could look at these things and think any of this would have been intentional ? not to forget he mentioned his retainers were named inappropriatly which is most likely also hearsay. 99% chance the names were something totally innocent, like for example niger (the river) or faq (because he likes cigars). people really are to quick to jump to conclusions here /s

I'll never understand why players like OP feel they have to give characters names that really aren't names. freejebus being a perfect example.

I do like that those in charge are taking action against those who feel they need to do this.

I hope people continue reporting terrible names 100% though. I don't want to join a group with a dragoon named dnkypunch.

A bit off topic but this is reminding me a lot of how crazy it gets with names and characters. It probably would break the lore a bit, but I've wondered if having a serial tag or something under the name would work better than limiting names to one per character. It feels great to get the early bird special (just about all of us from ARR days got the name we wanted), but I can't really blame people doing weird names when it seems that every name in the random name generator has been used. Technically, I gave up my original name when I swapped genders to a female character.

In real life there are multiple people named John Wilson and the primary way one John Wilson tells the other apart is by SSN, appearance, and other factors. In games I'd imagine this would be a good tool. Like when you go to your home city the first time they give you papers with your official citizen papers and it has some identifying number value on it.
