I'm hoping it was to avoid another Moenbryda incident. You know, a hero who is here for barely a "season" and then dies off. There's nothing more annoying than that.It wouldve at least made more sense if it was a self sacrifice thing. That would be much more believable than what they actually did. The fact that they constantly make it a point numerous times in the story and go to such lengths as to even show us the consequence of him overexerting himself(see:Kholusia) only to completely drop that plot and have him use a huge asspull at the end just ruined the ending for me.

Dude, you can't be 100% afraid all the time. If you're feeling sad and someone tells a joke you'd probably still laugh. That's just human nature. And G'raha has only read about those heroes and is now seeing them in the flesh. As a history nerd, how could he not freak out? I find that rather endearing and it makes him very human and relatable. The more we see if him the better.
I just can’t feel the same way. It takes away from the severity of the situation. Again, i’m just not a fan of characters who have immense plot armor like him. He also just serves 0 purpose in the story anymore. I’d rather they just kill him off in 6.0 and be done with it so we can get a new cast. He was fine as the exarch but even then they couldn’t help but give him immense plot armor. He had an entire expansion to shine. They should’ve just left him dead in 5.3 because as for me, that’s where his character did die. All we’re left with is fanservice. Not the good kind either. I just remember when this game used to be serious and dark back in HW and SB. Where there were actual consequences for the protagonists and peoples lives were actually at stake. Despite ShB being advertised as dark and gritty and facing the strongest opponents we ever have, everyone comes out unscathed and fine. It just seems like the devs can’t write anyone off without the community throwing a tantrum and crying over it. Look at the people still crying over haurchefant after 6 years, it’s ridiculous.Dude, you can't be 100% afraid all the time. If you're feeling sad and someone tells a joke you'd probably still laugh. Dungeons actually mattering.
Race specific glamours past initial starter gear.
Genuine questions here...do you feel the same about Y'shtola and her many fake deaths? Or Thancred's fake deaths? Did you dislike the humor in ShB considering it "took away from the severity of the situation"?I just can’t feel the same way. It takes away from the severity of the situation. They're completely optional and there actually are people who like doing them occasionally. Personally I'd rather have more leves than fate grind.Apparently I was suffering a stroke while I wrote this. Apologies! I did indeed mean leves. Such an awful, awful system. Why we still have it is a mystery to me.
Guildhests could have been something nice but, as we know, everything below savage is not allowed to be difficult anymore so they would have been like dungeons but shorter.
