Please restrict carry runs

It becomes an issue when those that bought their clears go on to parade if they were legitimate clears.

I hate being carried. Haven't even joined an FC yet (new player) because I am worried they'll try to drag me through stuff and I won't beat it for myself. Felt like a useless sack in the forced Crystal Tower raid the MSQ made me do.

People like whom you describe are like those that use aimbots and wall hacks in a competitive FPS then act like they are just that good. I mean, you know you're full of it.

Maybe it's the Gen X in me but I just don't get it. A polished turd is still a turd.

MSQ didn't used to force people to do Crystal Tower, but it comes back as an important plot point in 5.0 so they made it required. That said, the raid has been face roll easy for many years because people are synced down to twice the iLvl it was at when it first was released, and just out DPS it. It's farmed content for anyone who is 80 and working on a relic.
You can try to build a min iLVL to get the "real" experience but it hasn't been anything like min iLvl since 3.0 was released.

A good FC will allow you go to at your own pace and won't force you into doing any content you don't want to do. Most of the content run by FCs is all opt-in anyway. Tuesdays we're doing maps! Wednesdays we're doing Bozja! Thursday is breakout Savage statics! Saturdays are Extreme trials! Etc. My group will do the content the way someone wants to do it, too, although the majority of our members just want to go through and mow it down unsynced to farm it, anyway, so that's what we do. But I'm sure some FCs would love the challenge of doing this on the hardest setting just for fun.

I used to be against carries, but the content in this game is so easy to learn (and the gear is so worthless) at this point I just believe if someone is lazy or stupid enough to spend gil on a carry, let them. It's their choice.
