You cant prove guilt with suspicion alone\
What you are looking at is possible future RMT< but until they commit the crime they are not guilty of it, thats the problem you have when it comes to that specific issue
My XIVPad: http://xivpads.com?2031148
I've reported suspected bots on many occasions only to never see them again. Sometimes it takes a little bit but they do get rid of the obvious ones from what I've seen.
Awww, I'd give you a few self-made emotes if you were on Wutai. >.>Hey now.. some of us work for a living.. and bring our laptops in.... and have laid back jobs where we can play a game while we work....
The only thing i've really done is level my miner to 30 to get the gobbue mount.. which meant hitting points for hours on end. It was boring, but it gave me something to do while talking to clients/doing support tickets. And sadly was more fun than doing the same leve's or grinding endlessly.
Though no one ever sent me a tell ; ;..
I got emoted at once.. said hi, and they laughed and ran off. My online experience with xiv has been less social than playing fallout sadly. Probably why my "month without logging in" is comming up soon. No point to log in if you're playing a single player game.
And I WANT YOUR JOB-i'd love to level my fisherman while at work!![]()
I was kidding btw. Obviously no one can know with any certainty if someone is botting. >.>;Hey now.. some of us work for a living.. and bring our laptops in.... and have laid back jobs where we can play a game while we work....

Actually started on wutai, though when my friends all left after launch i sorta floated around. Rerolled on selbina as it had the highest population... granted they are all level 50 so its like playing on an empty server.
Fishing is what i did in ffxi and always got called a bot as i was in the same spot more of less 9-5 for weeks at a time. It's hilarious how many people ran up and would start ranting about bots, only to have me say "Yeah, bots are lame... you do realize i'm not a bot". That usually ended with a "lol, my bad". Though you did occasionally have the zealots that said i was botting, just watching the screen constantly.. no pleasing some people. Actually called gm's for a few people harassing me.
I'd do that in this game.. but i don't see a point. After mining 30 levels (just to get my gobboue mount as i didn't know how to get a chocobo and refused to read up on it), and then trying to go back to playing lnc... I don't enjoy playing battle classes... so i'm not even wasting my time. So netflix it is.
The utter lack of any sense of accomplishment in this game makes me sad. I can understand why people would bot.. as you just do the same thing over and over. Mining especially, i could tell you as soon as i went up to a point what it was, and where to hit it... whats the point if you already know and are just going through the motions? This game is nothing more than a carrot on a stick, and it tries to keep you playing with the hope that it gets better... But that's what 2.0 is for... right?
Battle is the same way, hit a few times, spam a combo.. next.. The more i play this game, and the more i read on here and lodestone to more i realize this is turning into a "here's your trophy" game, and i wasted money buying something with SE's name on it.. again.
I still dream of the day when my gladiator(warrior) can use whatever weapon he wants to use.. but i think the dumbed down system is here to stay.

People can bot and be at the keyboard... people were complaining about turbo controllers being used to craft. Its all the same really. Its just a difference if someone is there or not.
I had a sort of strange friend in ffxi.. for some reason he could never kill maat as a taru blackmage (he tried at least 15 times as i was always going with him to get testi's). So he spent all his time gardening (with 15 mules) and crafting. He wrote a script that he would run when windy was in first and he could buy mythril ore at the airship vendor and craft them into ingots. He'd do that and chat (as he had everything mouse driven), or watch movies.
He got the idea to do that after he saw me and my fiancee(at the time) playing wow in a "break" from ffxi. You could queue your crafts up, and go do something else.. So when i asked why he was arguably botting, he said he just added a feature that should of been in the game... guess i couldn't argue.

I mean, someone in a ls i was in ls chat that they were botting a craft and going afk. I called a gm and reported it to task force just to see if they would do... anything.... Result was weeks of said char bot crafting @ repair npc.
I'm more interested in the reason we have a support section ingame.
The only answer I ever got from them is to visit the support site outside the game - why not just write it into the help section? It's ridiculous we have to report anything outside the game while support GMs spend their time ingame copy pasting the same answer to every question instead of porting to the player and poking the bot themselves.

I have said it 100 times before and I will say it again, while there are people that are suspicious you cannot definitivly say they are botting without investigating.
SE has 2 options, wait on account suspention pending an investigation, this looks like they arent doing anything and people complain.
Option 2 they get a report of botting and instantly suspend accounts while they investigate, this shows they are doing something, but innocent accounts can be suspended for weeks just because they decided to craft, people complain.
SE are in a no win scenario, people will complain ether way, they might as well not make innocent people suffer because of it.
My linkshell have an afk/crafting spot some craft alot like 3-10 hours, this can look like botting when they are constantly in the same spot crafting and some of these would get affected but i know they are not botting.
