What!? That sounds awesome, I need this to come back please!!There was a Rising event minigame a few years ago called 'the Cheap Dungeon', which was a first-person perspective 8-bit dungeon crawler (complete with limited four-direction movement, 8-bit MIDI synthesis music (appropriately called Wizardry on the OST) and very basic late 80s/early 90s era pixel graphics), hunting 'bugs' (as in, computer bugs - it makes sense in context) which was probably the closest we've gotten to something like that. But then, the Rising is very meta and fourth-wall breaking anyway so it made sense.
lol, they had me curious and I went looking for it. Did you do the same? If not, check it out at https://youtu.be/6hAxIUmxI2M
Or someone else doing a walkthrough of it. https://youtu.be/08gD1q4hKNg
I mean, that one seems a little different than they described but still I guess kind of fun enough.
