Repeated Rescue harassment is bannable anyway and trolling among friends is lighthearted fun and a positive aspect of the game. Mistaken rescues aren't the end of the world either and could just have easily been someone killing you with a range of other mechanics. Mistakes happen.

Restricting the cooldown due to fear of abuse is unnecessary.

I'd be all for this, but I fully agree the inherent delay hinders its use for saving people. It needs to be as instant as possible.
