    I genuinely hate the new WAR animation.

    Seriously, it just hocus pocus' its weapon away starts punching then abra cadabras it back into its hands.

    Nothing about that animation says it's a warrior, it has a gigantic axe but instead starts whaling.

    I hate it.

    sadly to say. I like it. to go berserk with your hands is kinda cool for me.

    Honestly this feels very on brand for WAR.
    Tho I aggree the weapon popping in and out of existence is a bit janky and I'd prefer the WAR to like, stab it into the ground and pick it up after. But this would likely require an animation lock or something (along with extra animation work)

    I agree with both sentiments presented here.
    I think the axe just disappearing and then reappearing looks odd but I find the idea of a WAR just straight up punching something incredibly amusing.
    Perhaps for the animation the WAR just shifts the axe to one hand and then punches with the other before spinning around with the axe to finish off the move. Basically keep the punching concept but rework the animation so the axe doesn't just pop out and then back in like that.
    Also, I want to see a move where the WAR headbutts the enemy.

    The move has big WAR energy for me.
    When you get so mad even your weapon gets in the way of your violence.
    Wish they stuck it in the dirt or something, but oh well.

    Also.. I could see this idea work out fine, if not well, so along-side the put down the BattleAxe suggestion, I will agree with this suggestion, as well.

    4 / while, in the case of Warriors' lore and identity, I wish that Warrior had more actions like that, to be honest...
    It looks like the Warrior embraces the Inner Beast, and puts the BattleAxe down long enough to act on the violent urges of the Inner Beast.
    I would like it quite a lot, if Beast Gauge spender attacks were based on this idea of the attacks being "Inner Beast" attacks, attacks that are not with the BattleAxe, as the Warrior's "Inner Beast" theme is based off of a real Berserker mythology; where-in Nordic Berserkers were said to be able to transform and partial shape-shift into beasts that symbolize power, such as Bears and wild Boars.

    I should clarify, I have no issue with WAR punching otherwise I'd mention upheaval as well. To me a warrior should use everything they have as a weapon. Dropping your weapon just to punch is a detriment and doesn't fit with my warriors philosophy, instead it should use it's weapon as a momentum boon in its punches. There is a character in Guilty Gear that does this, I always felt like he encapsulated that warrior feeling extremely well(Yes even the whole going berserk and having it under control thing).

    Also, the whole point of IR was that warriors weaponize their anger and have it under control and not do dumb things such as drop their weapon and start punching because angry.
