Are they really adding cross-data center visit?

Wheres you read that.. I know a bunch of European people on aether who would quite like to be able to jump on an eu data centre on there days off and speed up queues by playing in eu times. They won't however move permanently because all there friends are on aether.

If itsimited to the same region that'd kinda suck.

I couldn't find official confirmation either but I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

I don't expect cross-region DC visit to be a thing, because I have a feeling japanese players don't want people from other regions visiting their DC.
