Viera and Hrothgar Megathread

Anyone know if in the new exp the viera will use hats or helmmets from armours set?

I have seen someone compare male viera to classic ff character and i think it's true. They really look similar and maybe what made me like face 1 way more than the others. But classic ff character don't look as feminine as viera do. Firion, Cloud and Squall for example all have a cold/hardened look fitting for a warrior with a young and adrogynous face. That's what make them more manly or baddass imo and could have been a great addition for vieras.

I made a collage of some of these FF characters (yes I threw that particular cloud one in as a joke :P) to compare their looks to the new male Viera.



And I dunno man, I think they're equally as feminine as most of the Viera I have seen people make on the benchmark so far, even when including non face 1 Viera. (these guys aren't face one)
And you can give them some pretty cold eyes.

Honestly, when I first started playing FF14, I was surprised by how masculine the male characters were in this game (minus the beards), I was expecting more options that would make characters look how the usual FF protagonists look.

thin chin and delicate face = feminine. square chin and stout arch = masculine. but doesnt matter the face, what really matters its the Attitude. round shape atracks more men, and square shape more womans.

Eh, not so much. A wide jaw (like, where the jaw meets the ears) can make a man's face look rounder, but also more masculine/attractive to a woman (saying this as a woman, but I can't speak for all women.)
The WoL, Squall and Cloud have the wider and rounder faces, and they look the most masculine to me.

yes. Its a common sence from biology perspective. but doesnt count mutch if you concider subjective preferences. I agree with you.

Honestly, I think Final Fantasy Devs have a problem with facial hair in general. Look at Snow, and the “I want to kill Chaos” guy. Terrible looking stubble, lol. I think Barret in the remakes might be the only one with decent facial hair.

Feel free to prove me wrong on that though, it would give me much needed hope for better facial hair options in the future

this game also need more faces for eatch race, and more grooming!
