That's no issue then. Synergy between healers! I understand HP extension is akin to a shield, but being able to "extend" the shield by healing (At least until the effect runs out) ins't a bad mechanic. At the very least it's more interesting than another shield.
We didn't see the fairy once in the trailer, I wonder if they got rid of it :c
I remember SE saying that the problem with mitigation and shields is that if you can stack too much of it, it allows players to just ignore mechanics. Adding HP extension as part of a normal skill set would do just that. As it is, only one tank has it, and it's very limited in its use beyond just being another tank CD.
Maybe a upgrade to Adlo?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but SCHs have an ability which effectively sacrifices/eats the fairy, in order to grant them more stacks, right? Since SMN seems to have gotten the ability to fuse with their primals (per the benchmark), perhaps the SCHs really do eat the fairy and fuse with it to gain access to greater healing powers, like the one that this thread was originally discussing.
Their version of AST's Neutral Sect (although, mums the word on whether or not that stays)
thats why i love noct ast especially double ast even if its not a meta. di shields and noct shield stack is over kill with regens to boot thats 7 regen 4 shields at once using ci di and neu spells from both ast cu tooI remember SE saying that the problem with mitigation and shields is that if you can stack too much of it, it allows players to just ignore mechanics. Since you did ask, allow me to make a correction... Scholar does not sacrifice or "eat" the Faerie. The vore BS is just a dumb joke that became popular. What the ability actually does, is unsummon the Faerie, while it has also had two versions, one that resummons the Faerie, and one that makes you manually resummon the Faerie.Correct me if I'm wrong, but SCHs have an ability which effectively sacrifices/eats the fairy, in order to grant them more stacks, right? This doesn’t matter as much as they think. You can and sometimes should tailor design around expected synergies in each composition, particularly since they’re forcing homogeneity down our throats. The upside of this is you can then count on healers and tanks alike to have a solid solution to heavier checks. Phases like the Quietus spam post-Terminal Relativity are a good thing to pull out from time to time.I remember SE saying that the problem with mitigation and shields is that if you can stack too much of it, it allows players to just ignore mechanics.
