I largely was referring to staring at hot bars to dance since dance steps don't float with the proc text on screen and the colors that surround your character indicate the step you just did not the one you need to do next.
Then again I literally just pulled my sub because I was feeling annoyed at how bad I am at this game so what do I know? (Very little)

It's on the UI thing, though? As long as you know which color is which dance, you can do them without looking at your hotbar at all.I largely was referring to staring at hot bars to dance since dance steps don't float with the proc text on screen and the colors that surround your character indicate the step you just did not the one you need to do next.

Good that you can, but I relate to the previous poster... To me it's impossible to keep track of the procs just by staring at the floating text, given how hectic the combat area is.
I have to keep staring at my hotbars to see the glowy border around procs... One thing that I would love is an actual proc UI aura that I could place at the center of the screen. Right now, my "bandaid" fix is to create a small hotbar close to the center that I put the abilities that might proc, so I can have reliable visuals without looking all the way down there to the hotbars. I macro'ed a button to toggle the visibility of this proc bar whenever I'm fighting.
On the OP, as the jobs I play most:
Dancer: The rotation outside of Technical Step is quite... slow. I would suggest just to take Standard Step out of the GCD, so its inserts would feel slightly more dynamic. Other than that, just Improvisation feels really bad, even when you find an optimal time to use. I think it either needs a shorter duration or an added bonus to what it does already.
Red Mage: Enchanted Reprise is a very niche action, but I would just make it consume the highest mana you have, because it would add a corrective functionality to mana imbalance. I'd love if they removed the damaging component from Displacement and made them purely a tactical action. Other than those, the job works pretty fine right now, so I'm curious to see what it will get in EW. One thing, though... Scatter could defnitely get a Trait upgrade to make it flashier, because rn, even when other's battle effects toggled off, I can - barely - notice it was cast by the animation.
White Mage: Extra healing is not a good "job identity" if that's what they are trying to go for, simply because it's unecessary for any kind of serious group. I would say, just let the WHM do more selfish dps, since its future counterpart, AST, can do this extra damage by buffing others. Probably tied to the overhealing, but lilies need a dps spender too. I love Glare and Dia, but I miss the elemental magic Stone and Aero much more. Maybe the unaspected spells could be a dps burst window that turned Stone and Aero to them?

I would like to see the War gap closer free as it is on the other tanks.
-kind of silly War is the only one whom has to "pay" for use of that via gauge cost.
"You are just going to give me one of those stoic nods aren't you?"
WOL = Nods
(one of my favorite moments)
I haven't taken Dancer far at all but when I was toying with it I noticed I tended to proc almost any time I crit. So definitely adding crit and using (can't think of the skill, but one to increase crit rate) does help. I mean, need people to test and verify that if not done already, but was something little more promising. But I do agree it would be nice if it wasn't so proc heavy. I also wish it had a little more personal dps.

I mean it's not a completely unpredictable rotation or anything it's just not a set rotation you can do with your UI turned off.I haven't taken Dancer far at all but when I was toying with it I noticed I tended to proc almost any time I crit.
