some servers have different prices on various items for a reasonm either due to lack of that item on the server because its not farmed or because of how much gil is floating around between active players

if you remove the servers individuality you blend everything together and punish those servers in which prices would normaly be lower by forcing them to pay higher prices, and on servers where gil is more plentiful they will get cheaper prices


each server needs to be able to stand on its own, the server itself needs to be able to farm its own items and not rely on other servers to do it for them



also, with this idea, anyone can toss any item from server to server for free(1 gil sales anyone?) so it would then be abusable in that regard, and players werent meant to be able to move their gear/items etc etc from 1 server to another
To be honest that would sort itself out after several months.

If the servers were truly cross server then the price of an item would average out roughly the same on all servers.

It wouldn't even be cross servers it would be more like a centralised market.

Of course SE could never pull something like this off, and sure as hell couldn't with the current servers.
