They should totally bring back cast times for mch. It's the only way to get rid of the Mobility tax

But again lets not, also Gauss added the cast times which could be removed at will. And I absolutely doubt waiting a few seconds will add anything to MCH. In this forum obsessing over numbers people forget how hollow and unfinished the kit is
They had access to Rapid Fire which caused shots to be instant cast.
Also, any proced Slug Shits or Clean Shots were also instant cast by default.
Well if we want to lessen the mobility tax the only things you can reasonably do is either the HW approach or to give it more support which would annoy bard players more. And the kit is fine. Not every job has to have full hotbars to enjoy the job. Not like mch had the most buttons in the world ever

Maybe not the cast times but something akin to Ley Lines where ideally, you want to stay in one spot to maximize damage. Make it a unique animation where you go prone and your gun turns in to a sniper and all your hits deal increased critical damage. Another option is you build a small wall and you duck behind for cover, reducing incoming damage, and your animations change to shooting from behind cover, like in GoW or Uncharted. Though I doubt they would invest that much for animations like that but would be cool and would give incentive for people to MCH to stay put, if not to look like a sniper.
I never noticed nor cared about my numbers so no I couldn’t care less about “mobility tax” a job REALLLLY needs to be underpowered for me to notice.Well if we want to lessen the mobility tax the only things you can reasonably do is either the HW approach or to give it more support which would annoy bard players more. Also not ever job is MCH, it’s not a pet job, not a support job not a selfish dps yet randomly adding castbars won’t make the job more fun
That'd be pretty neat, it'd be a way to bring back bishop turret for the wall thing could even have it be the automation king and it holds a shield reinhardt style.Maybe not the cast times but something akin to Ley Lines where ideally, you want to stay in one spot to maximize damage. Going off a interview that talks about reaper they seem to count MCH as a pet job still, with how they designed MCH in shb they seem to be trying to make it the selfish dps of the range physical since it lacks any support tools of its own (other than tactician which lets be honest can be a tole action since all three have it essentially), and i never said that adding cast bars would make it more fun i said if people want the mobility tax lessened they would have to add something that hinders their movement. Even so it wouldn't really be random since its first appearance in the game it had cast times and people enjoyed the job with them.I never noticed nor cared about my numbers so no I couldn’t care less about “mobility tax” a job REALLLLY needs to be underpowered for me to notice.

SWToR did this with Agent -> Sniper. It worked there because you had your personal 'barrier' to flavor your root wherever you were, but the game geometry also counted, and pressing cover while within range / moving towards it would close the distance to applicable geometry.Maybe not the cast times but something akin to Ley Lines where ideally, you want to stay in one spot to maximize damage. I don't think it'll fly here. Even if you build the arenas to have said geometry for it, I don't see very many of the people who played Mach / Ranged wanting that extent of movement removal.
