    Can't speak for the second half of Bozja, but in SF FATES and CEs spawned faster than I could even keep up with. Farming trash for clusters wasn't a thing I even had time to do; it would've been a pointless diversion. So, by the time I was all leveled up and running DR for my relic I had no essences by design, same as everyone else.

    So, that's why no one uses essences.

    Personally I would have liked something like a talent tree that unlocks the abilities/damage buffs as you progress it with like increasing mettle/elemental exp/whatever costs and maybe a limit for the number of active and passive actions. It's been clear for a long time that people just don't like using consumables so having it just be something you progress from the grind I think would have been a better alternative. I'm thinking of something like the thing that was used in WoWs visions but maybe a bit more expansive.

    I think that's why they made Honors, those are once and forever.

    A skill tree that unlocks abilities/passives when you level up in Bozja would actually be great. It could have branching skill paths that people could theorycraft good Bozja builds with, and clusters could be used for things like respecing. That's something I could actually have fun with.

    I'm not wasting time farming trash or money for randomized lootboxes, though, and I'm sure a lot of people feel the same.

    Probably! I think straight buffs like that are better suited for filler nodes on tree like setups though cause they're kind of boring on their own. That being said it is a step in the right direction.

    I mean, honestly I agree with you, I straight up hate anything consumable in any mmo, and I "grew up" with mmos where consumables are either potions for solo levelling or something bad players use to make up for their lack of skills. In this game they're seen as a must in endgame but luckily I don't raid, having so many of them being pretty much a must for anything Bozja just kills me. Your solution would be awesome tbh.

    There is always killing the Bozjan Matamatas around the middle of lowest zone. Those give guaranteed Skill fragments, which appraise into the basic but always useful essences.

    That will get you a lot of DPS essences for tanks and healers. I get the desire to always have Skirmisher as DPS, but Platebearer is not bad.

    In Southern Front never had time to mindlessly farm, just constantly fates and CE all the time even in instances with no one farming fragments or clusters. Again, I'll point out that I do use essences, but my personal use of them is largely irrelevant to how fast DR goes, I've also never had a lot of relevant essences and lost actions despite spending most my time in Bozja (most of my current were purchased). I am in no way going to condemn someone for not farming them up or not spending gil to get them just for one single instance.
