There should be other ways to obtain the Field notes.

This ^ , its been months and im stuck on note 14 , Sartauvoir. Hours after hours , and lost the count how many times i clear the skirmish. It's ridiculous ...

I've done about 100 clear of "Steel and Flame" for Sartauvoir note since the last patch. I had 9 Dyunbu notes drops but none of Sartauvoir. I'm spending 8 to 10 hours a day in Southern Front only trying to spawn the fate chain for 5 min disappointment.
Yesterday, 2 instances closed after we prepped the fate. The fate was in the queue but the 2 people remaining in the instance after 150 min couldn't clear the said queue. We left.

I can't do anything else. Technically i could take a break but this has became obsessive now.

I also realised i had to bite my tongue to do not answer other player when they're saying "easy, kill the scorpion for the fate to pop" type of smart remark in shout chat when after 2 hours + and thousand of scorpion dead, the fate hasn't pop yet. And i don't like my own reaction.

almost 2 weeks now just trying for dyunbu still .... never felt more cursed. Like I don't know what to do it feels so genuinely hopeless. I do nothing but kill the same enemy trying to spawn absent friends faster and sometimes no camping and brought to heal, it's beyond frustrating. I don't even hope it drops anymore I do every skirmish expecting nothing. To quote Dyunbu, "You monsters! I'll never forgive you! Never!"

Think it's mostly a problem because the content is supposed to be about time invested = rewards and the drops for these particular field notes are more like praying to the heavens. Well, unless you get really good at doing duels, but those are kind of nuts to begin with. Lyon in Castrum is particularly problematic along with the 4 star fate ones.

Just spent over 2hrs waiting for FAF/Steel chain because it kept getting pushed back. The amount of just waiting for things is absolutely infuriating.

Edit: MY TIMER RAN OUT BEFORE IT POPPED. THE CEs STARTED TO CYCLE FROM THE LOWER ONES AGAIN. WHY? WHO DESIGNS THINGS LIKE THIS. HOW CAN ANYONE SIT THERE AND THINK THAT THIS IS A REALLY GOOD IDEA. WHO GREEN LIGHTS THIS GARBAGE?

I'm comfortable and confident in saying if I'd spent the same number of hours farming dragons I'd have at least 2. It is unacceptable that 1/50th of a mount has a lower drop rate then a mount.

Current extreme mount has drop rate comparable to a field note. Old ones get a huge increase.

oh that's interesting rate,but unlike extreme though you get do to the fight again and not drop and re reque and again2 but you get totem for maybe wep or mount later day, but this amazing bojza fate mechanic make people went insane of waiting for 2hrs+ to do 10min fight to be dissapoint to not drop and has to wait again without any pity system to assure "yea you'll get it in 2-3 times" but nope, rng Inside of rng

you know i even make my way to abandon getting the field note out of frustration and doing zodiac weapon instead, it's all pain till the end but hey its more assuring

It's not just one rare drop it's many of them. I have one left to get on my main Layla which is note 45. My Balmung alt Alys is at needing 43/44/45. My Siren alt Talea is at 17/43/44/45. It would be nice if one could trade a 5 star for a 5 star but I suspect what will come at some point is an increase in the drop rate. When that will happen is anyone's guess.

The same ones seem to be the issue with 12/14/17/43/44/45 being the main culprits. At least with Dal note drops the mettle awarded helps with the Proofs of Mettle but that sure can't be said for Southern Front. I suspect I'm going to be running somewhere in the 50 run area before i get the drop if I'm lucky. She is currently at 15 and I'm planning on 2 or 3 runs a day if I can manage it.

I personally know players with a high amount of Ex Primals kills and no mount (I'm talking about 200+). And yes, totems can be exchange at a later date, however you have to wait months. Probably at some point SE will add a coin exchange for field notes.
